Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomCan only identify minor negatives such as the slight inconvenience of the reception for check in/out being above the ground floor requiring exit from the elevator with luggage. Also, possiblly for UK guests in particular, a kettle in the room might be useful.
Good, fairly central location within relatively easy walking distance of Downtown, Bow River and Inglewood areas. Our room at the front of building provided an excellent view of city centre buildings, including the Calgary Tower. Did not make use of facilities so cannot offer comment.

CanadaBreakfast lounge was under construction which was unfortunate but beyond staff control. Food for breakfast was unfortunately colder and eggs were very runny, but otherwise good.
Really appreciated the change in room to one with a view of Calgary tower for my husband, we thought that was very kind. Staff were approachable and friendly, especially with silly questions like how to tip the valet because that’s a service we’d not had the chance to utilize before.

AustraliaClean, quiet and great service. We had issues with our key cards and they were so prompt and excellent about handling the problem. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, there was a good range of options every morning. Having laundry facilities was also great to have and be able to use. It was in a nice location, close to many restaurants. Close enough but still a few blocks walk to the Saddledome, CTrain and nearest Plus 15 entrance - so that's something to keep in mind. Otherwise, the surrounding area was quiet and we had no disruptions.

AustraliaThe Lift situation, 1 lift for all the hotel and placing guests on the top floor and expecting them to wait an extended period of time for the elevator particularly at check out is just inconsiderate. breakfast was not great and the period it was available could have been longer. Please address the coffee supplied to the rooms it was not the correct product for the machine, one of the party travelling with me had an experience that was ridiculous-; the staff member insisted the the coffee grounds needed to go into the pod holder which would have been correct if it was the right product for the machine which it was not after ascertaining that the product was incorrect he then proceeded to rip the packet open and tip the coffee grounds into the holder resulting in coffee that was full of grounds certainly a Fawlty towers moment.
Room was good, bed was very comfortable the view was great. The staff were really helpful especially the Valet and the location was terrific.

CanadaI wish the thicker blinds would cover the whole window. Stayed in a room facing the street and had to clip the blinds closed as the street lights were fairly bright. Not a huge issue as I've had to do it every stay but would be nice if I could close the blinds for darkness at late night/early morning.

JapanUnfortunate that only one elevator worked during our stay. The breakfast room was not big enough to fit everyone. We had to find a table ourselves and there was nothing to clean the table after other guests finished using it.
