Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaI booked through Booking.com and it said there was an airport shuttle free from our hotel. That was the whole purpose of staying near the airport. There was no shuttle. Hotel staff informed me that if I had booked direct through the hotel I would have known that. Booking.com needs to correct this in their website.
The staff were wonderful . A great breakfast too .

After a delayed flight, we arrived very late in the evening and was grateful there was a friendly staff member to assist with check in. Having breakfast included makes is so easy and much appreciated that we don't have to go looking for a cafe. We were only there for 1 night before travelling onward but a lovely experience.

GermanyThey had paper dishes and plastic cutlery for breakfast, which is not very sustainable. Furthermore, a sticker said they'd only change towels every 3 days for the environment, but they changed them daily. I feel like they need to take sustainability more seriously.
The breakfast was nice (fruit, joghurt, bagels, ...) and the room was comfortable. The bed was soft and had 5 pillows to choose from.

ItalyBreakfast was poor and not healthy, even if they prepared potatoes, beans and scrumbled eggs. We ate in the hall in front of the reception with paper plates and glasses.
Nice hotel near the aeroport. We arrived late in the afternoon at Toronto Airport from Italy and we needed a place to stay for the night without driving late. The hotel was clean, silent and confortable. The room was quite new with air conditioning and a coffe machine. The courtains didn't allow the sun to light us in the morning. The structure had also free parking. They had a an ice machine.

This was a comfortable room to stay in as I waited to fly out after a flight cancellation. Nice big comfortable bed, AC worked great, staff very friendly, and breakfast was decent.

CanadaThe location is near a busy intersection cross and can be loud with traffic and sirens. Elevator is super slow.
It was comfortable and was in a good location as far as being close to the airport. The bed we had was spacious and provided a good rest. Good USB plugs placement.
