The neighbourhood was so sketchy and there was a lot of homeless people nearby. Also, It was super hot outside and the second room only had a fan that wasn’t very strong so we were hot.

The hotel was really clean, the staff was super sweet and the free breakfast was pretty good. Good value!

Soft mattress (I just like it more firm), but comfortable and clean

Location, friendly staff, delicious breakfast, clean room, terasse on the balcony. It's not a typical hotel, but exceeded my expectations. Very satisfied with my stay. Bonus: cheap interior public parking just beside the hotel.

Beautiful inn. Spacious, comfortable, Large bathroom. Had small kitchenette and fridge. Comfortable bed. Great location. Walking distance to attractions and many restaurants. Great wifi everywhere. Friendly staff. Highly recommend it. Elevator in premises. Relatively good breakfast.

I had an amazing experience staying in the hotel. The location is perfect. The staff were friendly and made check-in easy. The room was clean, spacious, and well-decorated. Was unseasonably warm during my stay and I was hoping to get a breeze from the window. Nope but thankfully a large fan was in the corner so problem solved.

Terrific location just a short walk from Byward Market. Lots of amazing food choices nearby, friendly staff and many breakfast options to chose from. Thank you all for making my solo trip to Ottawa a memorable one!

There was no wardrobe in the room, had to put clothes to drawers of a nightstand. Underground parking was super confined, so drive it and out with extreme caution. Also, there were no slippers even though they were mentioned among room facilities on Booking. All these are minor nits to me though.

Great location, walkable distance to most points of interest in Ottawa. Was able to secure a spot in the underground parking garage which was super convenient! Free breakfasts were pretty good. The room itself was clean, as well as the balcony. The views were also nice. There was an elevator - but please note that there are stairs at the main entrance which can make it a little bit challenging if you have a stroller or are experiencing mobility issues.

Location, sense of safety and comfort are important when travelling alone and the Byward Blue Inn was an excellent space to stay.

The portable air conditioner in the room was a bit awkward, but we were grateful to have it.

We loved its location. The ByWard Blue Inn is within walking distance of all the sites we wanted to see on our Ottawa visit - the parliament buildings, the museums, the Rideau canal and the ByWard market. The breakfast offerings were generous, and the staff most accommodating in that area as well as at the reception desk. We liked having our own little balcony for morning coffee and to unwind at the end of the day. There were a wide variety of restaurants and pubs in close proximity to the hotel for drinks and dinners. Although an older accommodation, every effort is being made to keep up the facility. Hopefully work will continue on the little courtyard area as that would enhance the inn’s offering. While limited, underground parking is available which is a real bonus in this area of Ottawa. We would definitely make this home base on any future visits to Ottawa.
