The only thing is the low hanging light in the room that we hit our heads on as tall people.

Great location, close to town, lovely view and right by the ocean with an area to sit and watch the sunset. The space was comfortable and very spacious. Good kitchen with everything you need :)

It was a very nice cottage near the sea. The gas fire kept the bedroom nice and toasty. The bed was comfortable. There were kitchen facilities downstairs which we did not use

Our stay was so lovely, a beautiful place to rest and relax in comfort. Had full kitchen available to us as well. Perfect for longer stays and being able to prepare meals. We loved sitting by the sea in the sun. Loved it and recommend it.

We liked everything. No dislikes.

No breakfast was to be included. The available full kitchen allowed us to make any meal with the one exception that due to allergies, no seafood of any kind was allowed to be cooked.

Nothing, absolutely everything was excellent!

Every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations. Herb & Janice’s century old home was immaculately clean and furnished to acknowledge their families heritage. Bonus, we had opportunity to watch a sea otter search for food and schools of mackerel broach the sea, while watching a lovely sunset..., darn near perfect 😁.

Absolutely nothing

There was no breakfast, that was fine. It was an 11 out of 10. So beautiful to be near the ocean. To look out the window and see the beauty, simply amazing !!! The staff were beautiful, friendly and the cats too. 😻all in all the best vacation I have ever had. I will go back again. Bonavista is beautiful!!!!

It was perfect!

Great location overlooking the ocean. Nicely appointed room with sitting area overlooking water. Herb was there upon arrival and was very welcoming.

There was no breakfast. The room was spacious, decorated beautifully, wine glasses and bottled water provided. Herb even helped to bring in our luggage. He was there to greet us and met Janice afterwards. She was also friendly. Beautiful room and view of ocean. Washroom had jacuzzi tub. We loved watching the sunset sitting in androck chairs at back of property. We loved our room and beautiful scenery. Did not want to leave! It was definitely our favourite stay from our week in Newfoundland.

I didn't like that it was a suite and I was sharing the kitchen with another couple. They were quiet and friendly but I once stayed in an AirBnb where the other couple in my suite stole kitchen property and blamed it on me, and it went on my record. That didn't happen at the Sea Tourist Home, thank heavens, but having gone through it once, I am wary of such situations.

It was an old house, spotlessly clean and well-kept, and the decor was warm, homey and practical without making an effort to be quaint or annoyingly cute. The place had a feeling of truth to it. My room had a bank of windows (probably a porch added on) the overlooked the ocean. The windows were wide open and the room was light and airy. I have stayed in many places but by far this was my favorite. It had every amenity I could need, a terrific shower, and it was quiet — just the sea, the wind and me. I arrived exhausted, having arisen before dawn for the drive, and Herb, the owner, let me in early. I slept deeply in that bed not just because it was very comfortable but also because the whole place made me comfortable.

Air conditioning! Less stairs , I didn’t realize it wasn’t on ground level! I myself would have like fridge , microwave in room.

We loved the location, exceptionally clean, spotless. Cozy, loved the set up to sit outside & look at ocean ! Spectacular sunset!

Wall between bedrooms was a little thin, but maybe our neighbours were just a bit noisy. :)

Very clean and well-kept. Owner Herb was friendly and accommodating of our later check-in. Kitchen was easy to use and well-equipped. Room was spacious with lots of lovely decorations, a coffee corner, a comfortable bed, and even a couch and TV. Bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand sanitizer, hair dryer, making for a comfortable stay. Especially enjoyed the pieces of the house's history on display in the halls.

Not a lot to do in the town.

The location is exceptional!! Great view of the ocean, a seating and picnic area very close. Nighttime view spectacular! Close to restaurants. Bed comfortable and larger than expected. Bedroom decor was tastefully done. Owners provide all kinds of self care products, more like what you have at home. Can’t say enough about Herb & Janice very kind and helpful. I would visit and stay longer next time. Highly recommend!!

I advise that this property might not be ideal for older, less agile people. The floors and stairs are lovely wood but slippery. (Bedroom and bath are upstairs.) The house is old, although entirely modernized, but a few of the floors tilt.

There was a lot to like…very comfy bed, nice kitchen, but most of all loved being right by the ocean. We could sit and watch the ocean from the Adirondack chairs or from our windows
