Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaOne of things that I love on this property is the ambience and how relaxing the area. This place made my stay in Vancouver extra special because I know that when I come home after long walks I have a nice and clean room to enjoy. I also loved that they booked our room on level 26! 💗.I also appreciate how convenient the hotel with attractions and food restaurants. When it comes to customer service, they are very friendly and accommodating.

View was lovely, wish our room had a couch. One of the other groups who had a room booking with us had a couch and we were all envious.

United KingdomThe hop on and off bus wasted nearly a whole day of our time in Vancouver. Cheaper and more efficient et to use a taxi. A complete rip off ( but hotel may not know this)
The view, the space, the fridge and everything about the room. We are returning in 10 nights and would love to stay in the same room if available

United KingdomWe were initially unable to turn off two of the ceiling lights, before discovering their switch was on the same panel as the outlet for the kettle and coffee-maker. The switch wasn't controlling the outlet at all - it was live all the time! It was only controlling the overhead lights. In the UK this would be considered a health and safety issue. We had to keep reconnecting to the WiFi for Internet access as connection was lost at least once a day - for both of our 'phones. At one point the toilet became blocked after some overnight illness. An operative appeared about half an hour after calling for assistance, but he was obviously having difficulty rectifying the situation. He disappeared suddenly making no comment, and hadn't reappeared after another half hour approx., but left his plunger in the room. I re-reported this to main reception who sent another janitor to attend. By the time he arrived I had fixed the problem myself using the tool the first chap had left! Wasn't very impressed with this.
Beds were very comfortable, as were the furnishings generally with plenty of wardrobe space. Well-designed with good use of mirrors to maximise light and apparent space. Room was on 18th. floor with a small balcony and a good view up Robson Street.

United StatesThe refrigerator in the room was loud, maybe because everything else in the hotel seemed so quiet!
Great location, amazing views from the rooms. Our room had a balcony which was lovely. The large windows let in a lot of natural light. But there were also several layers of curtains for privacy and room darkening - we had no problem with light getting into the room when we didn’t want it. Good shower, nice pressure and hot water.

United StatesElevators were small and there are lots of floors in the hotel. Lobby was clean, but nothing special.
The rooms were comfortable. I was on a lower floor, so the view was okay. I loved the Nespresso machine in the rooms. All staff were friendly and helpful. Location to activities was great.

United StatesThe location was ideal. We stayed at the Blue Horizon before our cruise departure. The hotel was centrally located to good shopping and eateries. It was a 25 min walk to Stanley Park which was beautiful. We took an Uber to the cruise terminal though since it would have been a 20 min walk over cobbled sidewalks. Beds were incredibly comfortable after a flight from the East coast.

CanadaThe temperature in the room could not go below about 24 degrees celsius which was a little warm for my liking.
The room was large with two very comfortable queen beds, and windows with beautiful views of the city and ocean. We loved sitting on the balcony at night. Location was perfect for walking around the city, incredible restaurants with great variety around, Capilano Bridge shuttle just outside, and excellent staff.

United StatesNothing was bad -- the lobby is small and was rather crowded when we arrived and the hallways are narrow but nothing that would keep me from staying again.
Our room was ready for check in around noon, which was delightful after an early morning flight and a middle of the night trip to the airport. It was comfortable and quiet even on a lower flow without much view (they offered upgrades to higher floors, but we didn't need that for a one-night stay). It was easy access from the airport train - about a 20 minute walk with roller suitcase - and location was superb. We walked to Stanley Park, restaurants and English Harbor during our short stay, and to the cruise port when we left. Bed was the most comfortable we had in a two week vacation that started at the Blue Horizon.

United StatesThe location was fantastic. Walking distance to shops and restaurants and right in front of bus pick up area. The room was very spacious. The only problem we had was the WiFi kept going out in the evening. Otherwise, there was a mini fridge, coffee maker and hot water pot for tea. The Abobe restaurant was very convenient for breakfast. We were very happy with the hotel. We would stay at the Blue Horizon when we are in Vancouver again.
