The hotel is a 4 star, therefore the facilites were originally quite good. However, it was clear that the structure is not taken care of and it didn't receive a proper maintenance in years. Small damages/wears have not been treated properly, making the hotel lose some quality, which is not what you would expect from a 4-star hotel after paying this price. When you open the water tap in the bathroom, the system makes a strange and acute noise, and you can even hear the adjacent room water! I was initially given a communicating room, but the insulation with the other room was inexistent and it seemed that I had people in my room rather than in the next one. I asked for a new room, which the personnel, always polite, gave me. They charge for keeping the luggage after the check out for a few hours. This is quite a standard service provided by hotels so I was surprised that a hotel of this size would charge a fee.

The internet did not work. Old fashion hotel Super noisy the water pipes. Need to change the room and floor. I hope they fix that problem soon since it was impossible to sleep

Aircon was very noisy, you can hear everything happening in other rooms and outside, flushing of toilet is not at all strong

Room VERY SMALL - we had a tiny window facing the courtyard. It felt like they were squeezing in as many people as possible into the hotel: elevators in the morning were too busy to accommodate everyone and we waited 5 mins to get in one.

The first room we stayed in was by the street and had loud noise until 4am from music and cars. Thankfully, we were allowed to change room, to a quieter area, however the second room was much smaller. Gym facilities need a refresh.

We were on the floor right under the pool floor. At night we could heard pool noises. It’s also a very touristic hotel, so there are a lot of kids and it can be a bit noisy because of that.

Just some cosmetics of the room. Ceiling tiles not properly fitted and wall close to bathroom needed repairs/repainting.

Very good breakfast, great location, great roof pool. Great restaurants within walking distance. Beach 2 mins away. Staff were amazing and friendly.

It felt quite worn down and the doors/walls are very thin. Also, the breakfast doesn’t change except from juices and maybe one or two dishes.

We liked the location - only a quick walk down the block to the beach.

The gym needs maintenance. Machines are broken. The rooms are indeed old. Bed sheets need change. I had booked a room with 2 beds and was given a one king bed room. Since our room had a window we could open side to side and had no smell we decided to stay there and ignore the fact that they gave us the wrong room. They do not speak English so come prepared to learn Portuguese We came during the Madonna concert so hotel was packed do not wait for the last hour to have breakfast you risk doing a huge line

The location is perfect. It’s just 2 blocks from the beach. Drugstores, supermarkets, pizza restaurants just a few steps away. Elevators worked great and have a decent size. The breakfast is the best perk, great variety of options. The pool on the rooftop is a huge plus too

It was the very first time I see a hotel charge to hold your luggage for few hours. This was a ridiculous decision to make money out of Madonna’s show weekend. I have been in hotels ranging from 1* to 6*, and this was the first time a hotel charges for this service which should obviously be a courtesy. And this was not only after checkout but also for those who arrived early and had to wait to check in. Of course they were also charging for early check-in and late check-out, even though many rooms were already ready when we arrived at 11:00. Ridiculously making money out of nothing and nowhere else in the world charges for holding a bag for 2 hours!
