Amazing people! I felt really at home. The hospitality is great, such a welcoming place. Good room, lots of facilities, as a good breakfast, cold water all day, a little outside kitchen, small pool, and the owner is such a warm and friendly person, sharing his knowledge of the city and sharing wine & bites! Highly recommended!

Everything was beyond perfect. The staff are very kind and friendly. The location is very good and near to the city center. Many nearby places to do groceries, eat... The view from this residence is priceless. A big plus is the swimming pool and the kitchen. Also, there is a really delicious and homemade breakfast every day with fruits, cakes, eggs, juices, coffee, bread, and other food. And finally, the room had everything I needed: a bed, a TV, fridge, an AC, a private bathroom, plugs near bed... I will definitely come back here in my next trip to Rio.

The room could be cleaned maybe every two days - but i didn't mind it as much as the price was very competitive.

Loved the friendliest hosts ever. Super nice and I felt like i was staying at a family house as the host showed around the neighborhood and introduced with the local life. My whole experience in Rio de Janeiro was so positive because of my stay in this hostel. The neighborhood is also very special and charming (just be careful of your surroundings and nothing will happen in terms of security)

The WiFi is a bit unstable in the room (I was right next to pool).

The room and the facilities are excellent, however the location is a bit trick at night. I had no problems at all, but the host recommended to get an Uber at night. The breakfast was very good with a variety of fresh fruits, bread, homemade jam and cakes. Beware that it is located on a hill so you need to walk up a bit.

Just two things need improvement. First - breakfast is still the same, no vegetable and old fruits. Second - the aircondition is very loud.

The location is perfect. Near the city center. Near is a lot of restaurants and shops. The owner is very kind and helpful. Swimming pool is great.

Excellent location in a quite neighborhood; 5 min walking to plenty of bars and restaurants; room and shower were rather big; very clean and organized; I arrived when nobody was at the property, the information provided beforehand was perfectly sufficient to access the property and my room; I'd stay there again

Location is great for people who don't want the ordinary crowd of tourists on the beaches. Santa Teresa is beatiful, with great architecture and food. The mini hotel is just in the middle, and it's perfect for a solo or a family. The owner is a character, super smart and knowlagable about Brazil and the area. The staff are great, breakfast is great and I'll probably go back here

Lots of ants, even a cockroach Bins weren’t emptied or there was no cleaning of rooms until I had to ask Super over priced for what facilities and rooms they have but it was carnival so this is a massive factor

The rooms had the linen dirty with stains and also with litlle blood marks. The breakfast area was really to litlle with two small tables, very few itens and acess to a dirty kitchen. Small doens't mean that you cannot have a good organization and cleanning. Althought you have very points to see in the area,the surounding area it's not safe because you are really on the middle off a poor zone. It is not a cleanned area and you have to be very carefull because it is not safe.

The staff were nice and the location is very close by of same historical and tourist points.

Nosiy location, no sound isolation which resulted in a high noise level through the whole night. Hard beds. A/C didnt work properly and WiFi was not available at all.

First day out the guesthouse a woman asked me to accompany her down the hill as it was dangerous for her and she was a local! And there were very dodgy characters there whom I escorted her past. Subsequently I used Uber from the guesthouse direct. The loo was really weak and had to try to clean using toilet brush - towels only replaced after 3 days but I asked after one day as no air gets in room and windows don't stay open at all as hinges are worn out. Main concern is on final day there was a dirty bottle of some liquid left in my private bathroom by someone which was clearly years old it seemed (pic attached)

Breakfast decent. Good price. Close to some famous sites like the aqueduct and selaron staircase. Good staff, very friendly!! Can't fault effort put in and very welcoming however cannot exclude shortcomings which did exist.
