Check in took a lot of time. Laundry service was super overpriced (80 euro's for 1 load). There was a constant noise of music from the party's in Pelourinho. Room was very basic.

Good breakfast and comfortable beds. The pool was a good refreshment and the location convenient if you want to spend a lot of time in Pelourinho.

Great staff: almost everyone speak English, and they are full of suggestions and tips to make your stay in Salvador memorable. The structure is very clean and comfortable, located in the heart of Pelourinho.

The only thing I would say was the single bed in the room was not the most comfortable (at least for someone tall as myself).

Upon our arrival, Claudio took the time to explain everything about the area and offered suggestions about museums, restaurants, and/or any events. The property was clean, and we received daily cleaning service. The breakfast offered was very nice as well !

Claudio, working in reception is an inexhaustible source of information, :). At arrival he gave me so many information, I could easily stay in Salvador at least 10 days. Thank you, Claudio. Rooms are normal rooms in 3 star hotels, quite small I can say (though enough for 1 person), but the view of the old town Pelourinho through my little balcony was inspiring, :). Also nice view from pool, on the same old part of old town.

The Internet in the rooms was impossibly slow the only area we seemed to have no connection issues was the main lobby. Our room was clean but could use some cosmetic updating.

We had a really comfortable stay at this hotel. The main highlights were the location and the staff, we also really enjoyed the breakfast, the repetitive options did not bother us at all as they were all delicious.

The road that the pousada is on does not feel safe at night. Lots of rubbish on the road and seems shifty

This property is lovely - and close to all the key attractions in Salvador which made this a great choice. We were arriving late in the evening so I let them know what time. They sent me a voice message with all important information to know before we arrive. All the staff here are very friendly and welcoming - it was raining one morning at breakfast and a lady from the kitchen came out with an umbrella to take me back to our room so I didn't get wet! For those who are concious about safety- the hotel is in a secure complex for extra piece of mind (although we had no issues). We would definitely stay here again!

Nothing. I'd say it's not an extremely luxurious place but if you're not looking for a Hilton type hotel I'd say choose this.

The only thing that would have been better is if the WiFi in our hotel room worked. Unfortunately, it only worked for us in the common area.

The staff at Pousada da Mangueira make the experience! Felipe and Claudio were so incredibly helpful with helping my friend and I map out our days in Salvador - and enjoying that our experience was as safe and meaningful as possible.

I had asked for a room with a double bed and only got a single bed, but this wasn't a big deal.

The staff are all very friendly and welcoming The hostel is also 5 minutes walk from Pelourinho Square so perfect for exploring the old town of Salvador. The breakfast was good and I liked the fresh fruit and juices lthough I thought some of the things could be labelled as they are traditional Bahian dishes and a foreigner obviously won't know what they are (sweet or savoury).
