This property is lovely - and close to all the key attractions in Salvador which made this a great choice. We were arriving late in the evening so I let them know what time. They sent me a voice message with all important information to know before we arrive. All the staff here are very friendly and welcoming - it was raining one morning at breakfast and a lady from the kitchen came out with an umbrella to take me back to our room so I didn't get wet! For those who are concious about safety- the hotel is in a secure complex for extra piece of mind (although we had no issues). We would definitely stay here again!

Nothing. I'd say it's not an extremely luxurious place but if you're not looking for a Hilton type hotel I'd say choose this.

Super nice view, amazing staff and great atmosphere. Close to the center. We did a tour with Claudio which was absolutely amazing!

The only thing that would have been better is if the WiFi in our hotel room worked. Unfortunately, it only worked for us in the common area.

The staff at Pousada da Mangueira make the experience! Felipe and Claudio were so incredibly helpful with helping my friend and I map out our days in Salvador - and enjoying that our experience was as safe and meaningful as possible.

Great hotel with pretty views on the city. Well located near the historical center (within walking distance). Nice pool. Good breakfast. Comfortable and clean. The staff were INCREDIBLY helpful and friendly.

I had asked for a room with a double bed and only got a single bed, but this wasn't a big deal.

The staff are all very friendly and welcoming The hostel is also 5 minutes walk from Pelourinho Square so perfect for exploring the old town of Salvador. The breakfast was good and I liked the fresh fruit and juices lthough I thought some of the things could be labelled as they are traditional Bahian dishes and a foreigner obviously won't know what they are (sweet or savoury).

The breakfast area was small in the morning if many guests showed up at the same time. This seemed even more of an issue when it was raining.

Breakfast was very good, with a large variety of juices and fruits. Location was convenient for visiting Pelourinho. The pool was a nice addition. Claudio, the manager, was extremely helpful. His knowledge of English was a huge plus, and his patience to provide us with ample information about places to visit and how to reach them was second to none. He is a solid asset for this property.

Great friendly helpful English speaking staff during the day. Made us feel like home It's a great safe place to live in Salvador just next to the historic center. Rooms are great, the pool was perfect. Will stay here again if I ever come back to Salvador

Lovely place, definitely I will be back in my next visit to Salvador. I really recommend this place. Lovely staffs at reception; the breakfast by the swimming pool was amazing; fresh food and delicious.

There should be a designated smoking area far away from communal spaces. People smoked outside the rooms, near breakfast, by the pool and in the garden so everywhere smelt of smoke. The curtains and doors let in light. The breakfast staff are very loud and unfriendly.

Location, pool, free water, free toiletries. The staff in reception were very kind and helpful and gave great recommendations.

There isn’t much to say on what there was to dislike - perhaps the wifi could be a bit better at all corners of the property.

It’s in a great location for the central historical part of the city, with a lovely pool that overlooks some of the old buildings. The staff were absolutely lovely and were very keen to help you make the most of your trip to Salvador. I also liked the breakfast buffet, which was small and simple but had everything you needed.
