The pousada is located a few hundred meters away from the busy part of the island, close to a river. Perfectly decorated for beach goers as well as backpackers.

We loved everything but it’s a bit uphill which for us wasn’t a problem at all!

We loved the fact that it was 10m walk to the beach/main town. We had our privacy as there was no loud music or anything like that if we were to stay close to the beach. Amazing room with bathroom, provided towels, fridge and your own porch. You could hang out in the comunal area and meet other guests. The kitchen is fully equipped which was amazing! They have a river in the back of the Pousada which we loved. WiFi was good. The aircon was god sent! Proper air conditioning! We loved the staff, they were really helpful especially a dark hair guy which we were chatting to. He is amazing and such a nice soul! I forgot his name but didn’t forget our chat! I would recommend this to anyone and I would definitely come back!

We experienced a couple of power cuts but they were soon resolved. It is also a little walk from the main area which isn’t very well lit but it still felt a safe walk back to the accommodation.

The pousada offers great rooms in an incredible location! In the middle of greenery, besides a small stream where you can swim. No hostel, and the facilities were amazing, best place to disconnect!

Please be aware island does suffer from power cuts. Staff spend a lot of time supporting guests when this does happen which is positive.

The accommodation is beautiful, has cats that are cuties and calms. The environment is amazing, with many nature and a waterfall in background. The room is comfortable, clean and very cozy. Their kitchen is complete, with the possibilities cooking in the local. One of the best places that I have ever stayed in Big Island.

We had a slight issue with the air conditioning on the first night, but they resolved this very quickly. We didn´t mind, but there is a bit of a hill to walk up to get to the Pousada.

I loved the location because although it´s close to the centre and all the restaurants and shops, it is out of the way, so it was quite quiet even though it was a busy time of year. There is a very well equipped kitchen so you can make your own meals if you want to and the eating area is very pleasant.

It is quite a bit of a walk uphill from the town, the walk is quick, but a bit tough especially with suitcase. The room was equipped in a basic way and was not super clean, I felt the cats might have peed there before judging by the smell. During my stay I would have hoped for more support from staff to help getting around and booking day trips. Smoking was allowed on the terrace, so smoke smell was entering my room from the neighbor.

Amazing and very beautiful and relaxing tropical garden just in front of your room, and views on the mountain and cachoeira. Very quiet place, you only hear the cachoeira perfect to enjoy ilha grande paradise. Small terrasse in front of my room allowed to chill outside in your own private space. 4 super cute cats help having a fun and relaxing experience. Staff were friendly, and helped me booking a transfer to the island ahead of my trip.

Loved this Pousada! Room was very comfortable and the communal kitchen very well stocked with all you need to cook a meal. Really nice outside spaces and the adorable friendly cats we an added bonus! Would definitely recommend.

I love animals, but there are too many cats living in this pousada. Sometimes, it's a bit uncomfortable having 3 cats entering your room when you open the door or find them in the bathroom in the morning as they manage to squeeze through a ceiling hole in the bathroom.

The place is lovely , and you can even walk to the river from inside the pousada. The staff is friendly and useful. Beds are comfortable

Nothing bad to say

Customer service is A1, the receptionist got me out of trouble after my planned tranfer to Ilha Grande went into total mess and confusion, she booked me another tranfer with another company within hours, for cheaper and more reliable service, she didn't waste time and relieved me a ton of stress, that alone saved my trip to Ilha Grande...oh, and all of that in English!

Nothing - loved it!

We stayed in one of the private rooms - really clean, super comfy bed and a perfect temperature shower! Well worth the 5 minute walk from the centre (felt really safe walking back even in the dark - there are lights on the path) and the staff were really helpful, particularly on our arrival.

Basically everything was perfect. Just be aware that they open the kitchen at 7.30 am so if you plan to go hiking really early be sure to take your food in your room otherwise you will have to wait :)

The atmosphere here is amazing. You can chill in the nature, surrounded by black cats: it was the first place here in Brasil where I enjoy actually spend time to relax in the facility! Plus is close to everything and the staff are super nice.

Someone complained that it is not easily reachable because of a 5 minutes uphill road, but to be honest it is very easy to reach it and this is not a problem at all. It very nice exactly because it is not in the middle on the town centre

In my last room, the bathroom was a bit small and the shower kinda old, but just that

It was clean, and the place is beautiful, close to a waterfall. Each room has its own little terrace where you can sit and rest at the end of the day. There is a commom kitchen, quite big, fully furnished and equipped to cook if you want to. The staff was great, specially Ximena, she was very nice and welcoming, and helped me with the tours and advice in general. I was doing a solo trip

The surroundings are really beautiful, with a lovely well-taken care of garden. Next to the pousada there is a small waterfall that you can easily access. The staff was really friendly, always happy to chat and offer information and instructions on how to make your visit to the island easier and more fun.
