Quiet and small so wasn’t as much opportunity to meet people but was very relaxing. Room was a bit more expensive than our budget.

Pedro was so friendly and we felt very welcomed, the kitchen facilities were good and bedrooms had strong fans in them. Very clean and safe and calm. Saw little monkeys climbing in the morning!!

The hostel uses the space they have very good. I like that it's close to the center but still has a very chill and rustique vibe. Amazing staff also that helps you with everything. Was going to stay here only for couple of days and ended up staying for almost two weeks!

The only thing missing is a kitchen to be able to cook if need be! Luckily, we could go to a friends to make food a few nights. Eating out in itacare can be expensive because it’s really touristy at this time of year but if you have a look further than the Main Street, there are definitely cheaper options.

I had the best stay at Buddy’s. It was really sad to leave!! We were only supposed to be there 4 nights but ended up staying an extra 3. The location is perfect; everywhere is maximum 10 minute walk away. It’s such a nice space with lots of shade and hammocks to relax. Breakfast is vegetarian which is great - I can’t eat dairy and Gabriel and the lovely ladies in the kitchen very kindly would make me my own portion of the breakfast without butter/cheese etc. Gabriel is also super helpful with recommendations with things to do in town whether that’s finding a surf school or the beach trails. We had a private room which was really comfortable and clean. Thank you for having us - I’ll be back!

The dirty: 1. When I arrived, the linen were stained and I asked to change them. 2. In the bathroom were long hairs, although we were men there. Which means didn't take care to clean throughly towards the welcoming.

The place is really good and cool, but when I was there maybe due to the season there wasn't a lot of people so I hadn't the chance to meet new people there. You can't cook in the kitchen but there's a fridge.

The receptionist was really nice and friendly! I didn't get the chance to talk to a lot of the staff but they seemed really cool. The rooms are super clean and I got to be in a 4 beds room alone. Cozy, small and clean. I woke up to breakfast and was the only one there which was feeling really vip ;)

Besides all the "normal" excellent services at the hostel, Laissa the owner, helped me out a lot with some issues when she didnt have to. I am very grateful and she, her family and the hostel staff are lovely people.

No kitchen for guests, unfortunately

Very pleasant place! Staying with the owners, their adorable kid and the house cat gives the place a nice homely feel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, thanks to them too! Great breakfast. The mattresses in the dorm are very firm yet comfortable (good for the back!). I liked the greenery and the hammocks in the garden. Finally, I really enjoyed their reggae playlists!

Pillows were old, shower in the room was not good. I have noticed that maintenance is an issue in a lot of hostels in Brazil. It should not be.. Bed and shower should always be the priority.

too hot to stay. at least during the summer it’s impossible sleeping because it’s so hot and the mosquitoes are terrible i will definitely not gonna come back the price that they charge for the stay is just not worth it
