Felt safe with 24 hour reception! The location was cute and had character and the room was clean. I stayed in one of the private rooms and it had everything I needed. Breakfast was good.

The only thing bad part is there’s no curtains on the top bunks, so no privacy and could be woken up from the lights.

All the staff were really helpful and friendly, a nice small hostel making it easy to talk to people, and good location about 10 minutes from the beach. It’s also right next to a metro station so lots of transport options. Had a decent buffet breakfast included, loved the individual toilet & showers, and good size lockers under the beds.

the pillow is too soft and have to put something under it to support it. The tap needs to be pressed order to have water which is not convenient. However, these.are.not.big.issuess.

This is my second time staying here. It is very safe area, staff so friendly and even remembered me. It is very clean, hot water in shower, curtain for privacy, good breakfast.good WIFI.

Our room did not get cleaned for the full week we were there - not ideal when you have to through toilet paper in a bin. Also not many social activities in the hostel, although we didn’t expect this to be the case.

The bathrooms were always dirty or not cleaned well..in addition one of the cleaner, an old woman was rude and provocative.

Good quality price with breakfast included..close to the beach..The receptionists were pretty helpful and nice.

My only suggestions would be a bit more of a deep clean on the bathrooms-- they looked a bit dingy. Also, I had a hard time with the hot water being inconsistent, though I'm not sure if there is much that can be done about that!

The staff was the highlight of this place for sure! Gabi and Jorge especially went above and beyond to help whenever I had a question or needed anything at all. The beds were very clean and comfortable, the location perfect (quiet and convenient), and the common area quite cozy. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

Very helpful staff , Gubi at reception is a Gem ! Helped us to feel at home and took care of us like our daughter. She helped to find lost cellphone in Uber , getting SIM card and showing the way to interesting sites..

Our room was clean and with street view. I would recommend to add two small side tables and lamps. There were no elevator to the upper floor, but with the help of their lovely staff, that was resolved 😀

Staff is very friendly and helpful, they can speak good English which is very important. The equipments are well maintained, bed is comfortable, with curtain and lamp. How water in bathroom and AC quiet in the evening. The nearby area is safe.

Would be nice if the top beds had curtains too (but even so the beds were high enough for me to have some privacy up there :D), with six people it gets a bit crowded if people don't put their luggage in the boxes beneath the beds

Staff was very nice and helpful, nice breakfast (toast, bread, jam, cheese, ham, cereal, juice, fruits, milk, cake), each bed has its own light, socket and little storage place, shared toilets and showers for all the dorms on one floor but seemed to be enough (I never had to wait), everything was clean, location is close to Copacabana and Ipanema Beach, there's an entrance to a favela close by but I never felt unsafe throughout my stay and still went out alone for late dinner or sunrise

I felt like we were in Thailand or somewhere outside of Brazil as the place is white, modern and boring. We were watched in our every action, reminded of our 11am checkout as though we were intruding by enjoying our morning coffee. The kitchen has no stove and you are allowed to only boil water if you use the stove so basically you cant cook. Im uncertain why it says you have a kitchen as you really just have a fridge.

The people working here are extremely kind and helpful. Its right in front of the metro...
