Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomThe 2nd lift was broken for the majority of the stay, so getting to the room was taking considerable time. Also, on the first day, the lady at the breakfast wanted me to pay for it again even if it was included in price. After an argument, she checked with the reception, who confirmed that it is included and that no additional payment is needed. This check should have been done before arguing with me. No apology for the behaviour nor the attitude was given either..

QatarThe noise from other guests the room I stayed in was not very sound proof so you can here a lot of noise so if you want a good night sleep definitely make sure you opt for a soundproof room , also safe was not working and access card needed to be reactivated frequently
The location is great as you are right next to the beach with a short walking distance , the staff are really helpful and welcoming also . The breakfast is nice too and the bar area

GermanyThe only thing that bothered us was the noise coming from the air ventilation unit, but having been around in Brazil for a while now, I guess that‘s just how it is and you can‘t escape it. The facilities could have been a tick cleaner for our taste.
Best possible location you could stay at, for first-timers in Rio. The area is very walkable even in the evening. Going to the beach also works very spontaneously as it‘s a 2 min walk from the hotel. Breakfast was rich in options and very tasty. The Staff made us feel like we were taken good care off and always there to support us. Big thank you to them! The room is also very comfortable and has a good layout. Was cleaned daily.

Nice room, not huge and no balcony. But friendly and well run. The bar on the ground floor is a great place to hang out at night, good music and atmosphere. The best thing is that it’s in a busy, well lit and safe street, with all the shops and services you need close by. (the beachfront two blocks away doesn’t feel so safe at night)
