Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

ColombiaI wish the staff had provided more information about how to get to and from the airport. It seems that the hotel had some agreement with the taxis but I did not know this until I checked in. Also, I wish they had told me how to walk from the hotel to the airport since the staff only emphasized taking a taxi rather than simply crossing the street. Providing the information on the pros and cons of each mode of transportation would have been helpful. Also, I wish the staff had reminded me that breakfast was not included. Breakfast was really really good, though. Finally, in the long run, it would be nice for the hotel to consider adding some amenities like a pool. That would have made the experience much more memorable.
The location was great - it is conveniently located right next to the airport. The room was very clean and comfortable and the bathroom was very nice and clean.

Very nice staff. The bar is great. The hotel is very close to the airport, 4 minutes by car. A nice place to stay if you need to stay close to the airport.

Unbeatable location if you need to be close to the airport! Ibis also offers almost 24/7 check-in receptionist, which is key when you have a late night flight. Very good value for the price if you are staying for a short-term period. Breakfast is super complete!

Located right next to Recife's airport. Ease of access from other places as it's right along a major avenue heading downtown. While there's little to do next to the hotel, it's very easy to go anywhere from it!

This is not Ibis fault, however, and they have made a deal with the taxies that the transportation back and forth from the airport is only R$12 each way. The staff was friendly and helpful, making our layover nice and comfortable.

NetherlandsVery unclear how to get to the hotel. We searched for a shuttle bus, then we looked how to walk there - both not possible. Then we found out that an airport takes you there and the hotel pays them. This should be made clear at time of booking. It was very frustrating.

The reason we stayed here is that it's close to airport and we needed to be close. For this reason the place is good. Breakfast is good and reception area also looks new and fun. The rooms are very very simple and literally a one night recommended only. Staff was friendly at reception. You get what you pay.
