Everything was great! Maybe a kettle in the room would have been even better.

We loved staying at Casa Petunia. It was in a great location near the beach and restaurants and a short taxi ride away from the centre. The place is lovely - furnished with art and furniture from when the owners lived in Bali, and the rooms were spotless and comfortable. There is an amazing breakfast and the staff and owners are hugely welcoming and responsive - nothing is too much trouble.

Petunia husband could have been more helpful with helping me with the log in for my computer. But he didn't seem to be bothered when the staff told him I wanted help!! Also when I asked him about how the shower worked he came to help but seemed anoyed that I had asked him to help. Such a shame as his wife is amazing😊

The staff working there were so nice & always wanted to help. Petunia was a lovely lady with nice energy, I really liked her😊

Upon arrival, it’s a bit confusing where the property is. The property doesn’t have a sign and all the lights were off.

The property was very beautiful on the inside. The breakfast was delicious. The staff were very friendly and they have a cute house cat that loves visitors.

Oliver, his Wife and Daughter, they were all very nice, very helpful I was honoured to stay in their casa. The breakfast was lovely and Oliver was very helpful, first night he drove me and my partner to a taxi rank, the second night, we left a gift in a taxi and he drove us across the city, to try & find our missing good, we never found them though the journey was full of history of Salvador, i loved our chat, a Lovely Man.

Casa Petunia is THE place to stay in Salvador! We got so lucky to have the opportunity to stay here and spend time with Petunia and her family. Our room was beautiful and had a balcony that we could enjoy. The room was very comfortable with a fantastic bed, air conditioning, and everything to ensure we were very comfortable. Not to mention, the DELICIOUS breakfast filled with unique foods and the fantastic cleaning and cooking team. We will absolutely return to Casa Petunia again.

Wifi was not working very properly, the owners tryed to let it fixing but did not work. Not a big issue in such a great guest house. Bathroom without a curtain in the window, one might experience being watched during shower. I forgott to mention it to the owners, that should be there.

It was like visiting friends! so nice staff and the atmosphere at the gorgeous breakfast was amazing. Lovely hosts, staff . I was lucky to meet other guests who were very nice. The owners are adorable and the breakfast guy also very attentive.

This is a great location in the city to enjoy the beach, and be close to the historic centre. The owners can help you with anything. The breakfast is well worth it, and you should try everything - a highlight is the fresh local fruit.

The A/C didn't really work well, but since we only stayed over for one night, we didn't worry about it. The listing also mentions free airport transportation, but that is not something that is included here. Uber wasn't bad though, as uber is extremely cheap.

The breakfast was the best breakfast of out of maybe 5 other pousadas we stayed at while in Brazil. Petunia is incredible, and truly ensures everyone is satisfied in literally every single way. My partner got sick and she made sure we had everything we needed, the best was her allowing us to stay longer in the room since our flight didn't go out until later so that she could rest/recuperate during the day. Honestly, she was so friendly, it made me wish we had stayed longer.

Petunia and her family showed us what Brazilian hospitality is at its very best with grace, kindness and incredible generosity. The breakfast is exceptional and is a Brazilian culinary tour on its own! Can't wait to get back!

The service was TERRIBLE. The selection for breakfast was poor. The only thing i could eat, they decided not to make sure they had it the last few days. The wait staff was really mean to me. They would ignore me and give me mean looks. They would turn the lights off on me if i was alone in the dining room. I´m assuming it´s because I am of color. It seemed that other guests were treated much differently. I was sick and the woman told me that she would not help me carry my food tray to my room...and that no one else would....I simply asked the owner and she did it with no problem, but it was very offensive to be treated that way. The wait staff was unfortunately the same as the cleaning staff and once again, they ignored me. They only came to my room to clean one time- on the first day. I had them just empty the trash, but after that, they never returned. They never swept my room or cleaned anything. Then she actually LIED and said that i used things in the refrigerator that i did not. She in fact never even came to see my fridge. The only reason why i had not complained was because i was sick and felt that it would. be dangerous for me to do so. Like they would possible do something terrible to my food. Whenever i requested something from the staff, they would tell me no or act irritated. It was very disappointing and definitely ruined my time. Also, they need the option of using a fan in the room. I couldn´t open the window because of the mosquitos....and the air conditioning was not the best for me trying to heal from my fever. The owner said that she herself does not like air, so it would make sense to have a fan to insure that her paying customers are as comfortable as possible. I know i was paying way too much overall.

The art in the place was beautiful. The owners were nice. They allowed me to cook for myself.
