Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesIt appeared that most guests rented cars. I did not and spent a fortune on taxis. $25.00 one -way to town to stock up on groceries or to Donkey/Te Amo beaches. $35.00 and up to go to the farther, better snorkeling spots. Each way! It's a minor point but the hotel, although small, is a bit spread out . About half the rooms look out over the parking lots that encircle the hotel. This proximity may be useful for some people to be so close to their cars, especially to load dive tanks or gear. The rooms themselves are NOT luxury class but adequate, modern with comfortable beds, quality sheets.Air con is very strong .Hot water pressure is weak as it seems to be solar-powered.
I stayed over 2 weeks,3 days at this lovely property. The staff -every single one-was consistently helpful, outgoing ,cheerful and courteous. The hotel has a small pier from which one can jump or climb down into crystal clear ,warm water. In that water many days I saw colorful fish;other days I saw almost none. The seabed there had mainly damaged coral and sparse vegetation. My last day I finally saw a small turtle swimming under me as I snorkeled. Serious snorkelers will want to leave the hotel to visit elsewhere around the island. There were plenty of sun beds and shade for reading by the sea,in between swims. The beachfront restaurant offered many healthy options as well as cappuccinos and lattes ,including soy. I didn't try the two other restaurants as I prepared breakfast and dinner in my room . One of the restaurants (reservations only)is reputed to be among the best in the Caribbean . It appears the hotel took great care with landscaping, and over time it will look more lush and exotic than it looks now. Wifi signal was consistently strong-even on the beach. The rooms have large balconies with chairs and table. The gym is as well equipped as any large city gym-it has everything. It appears to be open to the public, although entry is free to hotel guests. Most staff and hotel guests appeared to be from the Netherlands-which gave the hotel a delightful ,casual ,youthful European ambiance.

United StatesOur experience with staff was mixed. Some were nice and some a little cold. Compared to other places we've stayed over the years I think Delfins employees could work on being a little friendlier. The staff seemed largely quite young and were working hard to service the large number of guests so maybe that was a part of the issue. The rooms we had (we had 2 different rooms) were both quite clean, a little on the small side but to be expected on an island. The shower/toilet setup in the "deluxe studio" was odd with the toilet literally in the same area as the shower. The first room we stayed was a standard studio, less expensive and a better bathroom setup. However the standard studio was at the very back of the property overlooking some small bushes and a parking lot. We don't tend to spend much time in our room when we travel so the overall views and locations worked for us. But if you want a beautiful view and the sea breeze you'll need to select a pricier room towards the front of the property.
Fantastic location right on the water. Delfins has a very nice sandy beach with lounge chairs and palm trees and umbrellas which is right on the ocean. The ocean is easy to get in and out of relative to most of Bonaire with just a little coral. No fire coral that I encountered. There are 2 swimming pools as well. I only went in one. The temp was a little warm for me but the set up was nice. The entire resort was very clean and nicely maintained. The landscaping was nicely laid out. Additionally there are a number of dining options on the property so easy to eat while you are there if you want.

NetherlandsConfusing hotel; seems nice but actual experience is quite bad when honest, new mngt has no clue about the customer journey, energy drainers everywhere, impossible to find your room/no signage on logic places (they send into the dark with big suitcase & i need to carry towels etc myself…no clue where room is… team no clue what i mean… and when i explained they all recognize… “yes signage is bad, we hear it more.”…), best foodie restaurant owner of NL having horeca here as well, not matching his top brand status at all unfortuntely (pls J Boer, decide what matches your brand, demand steps…), doors open against each other, toilets in shower all the time wet, curtains partly broken leaving light through, hot appts due to high ceilings, mostly hotel service below level you expect/lmtd sense of service, instead they folllow rules so with each question you hear no… no… no. Sad, but i hope a leader/owner will come & see what needs to be seen & teach & make the hotel grow to insightfull service iso jearing rule based no.

United StatesSignificant construction noise, less than efficient path to the resort pool and beach (Villa 10), concrete villas with little character, kitchen could use more supplies e.g. papertowels, salt and pepper etc.
The location was great with secure covered parking. The two pools and grounds were nice.

United StatesThe wifi was terrible and I could not maintain a connection on a laptop for more than a minute or two at a time. Every time I tried to send an email, it would be "disconnecting" and "reconnecting." It was a very frustrating experience and I would not recommend this property for anyone who actually needs to use the internet at any time during their stay. Although electrical outlet types A and B (the ones used in North America) are most common on Bonaire, this property exclusively uses type C (most common in Europe), which means you need to bring/buy a separate adaptor. There was also no hair dryer provided in the bathroom. The beds are not a true king size because they are two twin beds made separately with separate duvets.
The location of the property, the beach, the various pools, and multiples restaurants on the property are great and of a high quality. The kitchen in the unit is also fairly well-equipped if you want to cook, and the air conditioning and ceiling fan in the bedroom area are adequate at cooling the room.

United StatesI had arranged for airport transfer the day before. When I arrived, they weren't there. I called, and they said they would send a taxi. Waited 20 min and no taxi. Got a taxi myself from the airport. No one to check us out in the morning either. Messaged through booking.com for a receipt. They asked for an email. I sent one. Then they told me they couldn't send it to my email.
