Location is great but a bit dull by night.

Rooms are really spacious, as in picture and clean. I was in the 4dorm, felt like sleeping in a big room at grandma's with all the cousins. Lovely 🤗. Various bathrooms, clean, with hot water. The hostal has nice terrace plus plenty of spaces to chill and socialize. Very welcoming. Good breakfast.

The last room I stayed at had a slight smell. And for some, it might be a bit far from the city centre where more things might be happening.

Location is good, close to the bus station, and in one of the nice streets of La Paz. Rooms are nice and the people were very friendly and helpful. I came back twice during my time in and around La Paz. Luggage storage, laundry, good food and some activities in the bar downstair.

The breakfast was a bit small. Make sure to be early if you are heading off for a day trip. The window in the room was open when I checked-in, which made the room a bit cold on the first night. The bathroom also had a hole in the wall, which made it cold.

Excellent location in the most picturesque street in La Paz, very close to most city centre attractions. Laid-back vibe and very helpful and informative staff. Warm showers and warm blankets.

Only thing was that walls are thin and you can hear your neighbor in the bathroom.

Good location, quiet as it is in a car free zone. It's close to the teleférico. Breakfast was delicious. The room was cozy and even had a small heater. Shower was clean and hot.

Lots of great communal areas and an excellent rooftop terrace. The staff are really friendly and helpful.

Showers are not great. Electric shower heads seem to never be able to warm up in cold La Paz air no matter how slow you run the tap and for how long. Not great when promoting water saving

Easily walk to from main bus terminal. Super close to naranja cable cars for access to other buses- e.g. rurrenabaque or cobacobana buses. Beds with curtains. Charming building with lots of character- a bit creaky but thats ok. Great breakfast. Left my bag here when went away for few day with no problems.

The location is brilliant, in the quiet Calle Jaén. The hostel has a beautiful court where you can chill out after a busy day in La Paz. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We woul definitely go back to Anata Hostal

Cold during the night. Several bathrooms had a very uncomfortable smell, so that for example the 6 bed room smelled like the bathroom when you left the door open. they also tried to get rid of the smell with chemicals, that didn’t work super well.

Very nice and helpful staff. Storage of luggage is possible. Breakfast package was possible if you need to leave early. Wonderful rooftop terrace with view over town. Tea for free.

Unfortunately, the rooms are quite noisy. We had to different rooms in different parts of the building and in the first, you could hear a lot from the staircase. In the second, our bathroom had a direct connection with the bathroom of the next room, so we heard their puking and everything else…

Very nice staff, very helpful and caring! The rooms were super clean. Some of the rooms have a direct view to Calle Jaen. The breakfast was nothing special but decent.

I always appreciate a kitchen but you can’t always get what you want…

Lots of nice spots to hang out and a welcoming staff makes this a great spot to stay while in La Paz. Despite the busyness all around, it’s easy to just hang out and find refuge here in this interesting building with plants and fresh air all around.

A real kitchen would be nice. More hooks in the dorms to dry your towel and jacket (just a nail on the wall next to the bed would be enough :)) there was a light in the dorm you couldn't turn off at night (sleepingmask)

Social hostel. Balcony, hot water, a hairdryer at the reception. Staff really helpful and friendly, they speak English. Free tea. Good location. Many infos for tours. The breakfast was good.

Very nice hostel in a great location in the famous old town. Also good location for the cable car. Helpful staff and good breakfast also had useful plastic bottle recycling and laundry service. I did the recommended tour to Tihuanaku.

The power outlet is a bit scary, because it sprays sparks everytime you put in your charger.

Only two showers available between shared dorms on one floor. It wasn't too busy when I stayed but this could be a problem if there were more people. The included breakfast was just OK. An extra 3Bs to have milk in your coffee...

Don't expect perfection at these prices. Some details in the room can be improved, like broken toilet seats, or adding hooks or shelves, better door locks etc.

The hostel is in a great location and offers excellent value for the money, especially the private rooms. The staff are fantastic, helpful in every way. Excellent recommendations and very patient in explaining the available tours and transportation. Everything the hostel organized was with a reputable company and went very well. The rooms are very clean and reliably quiet and the showers have strong hot water. The beds are very comfortable.

Sketchy sparky electrics. Wish we'd paid for the room with a balcony rather than next to a sometimes noisy corridor.
