Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United Statesthe gardening planter box outside my window was weedy, which was surprising. the handheld shower head was broken and spraying everywhere. the gratis toiletries were kinda off-brand and “meh.” the A/C in the room couldn’t keep up. there was a set of weird ridges, edges, and concrete lips everywhere on the ground near the front desk that were a constant tripping hazard. there were no rails or gradual steps at the pool for my 72-year-old mother-in-law to get in and out of the pool, so we had to help her in and out every day (she’s totally capable by herself, if only there were rails or decent steps). the poolside seating was so low to the ground that she could barely use the poolside furniture (super low like Japanese style, almost at the ground). there was no valet on duty at night (not that late, btw!)
loved the pool design with the super shallow side—fun for kids or just for soaking and baking. great views, nice enough breakfast, friendly staff. pretty architecture, nice gardens. cute cats and butterflies (my daughter’s favorite things).
