Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

End of season, and Sunny Beach was about to close down. I really appreciated the tranquility. I guess the surroundings of the hotel can be a party-mayhem in high-season, and that's not my cup of tea any longer. Had a lovely, relaxing week both at the excellent pool-area at the hotel and at the beach close by. All inclusive worked perfectly for me.

Pool and pool entertainment were brilliant, location excellent, rooms are dated but clean and comfortable food was more of a Eastern Europeans style but to be expected but always found something to eat. Kids loved it and want to go back which is the main thing.

Czech RepublicI do not understand why such a big hotel cannot provide more seating for the everyning entertainment. It was also annoying when ať 22.59 they simple took away the table we were sitting at... From the hotel staff only waitresses were nice...
We were really satisfied with our accommodation, we had rooms in the side low blue building. The rooms were cleaned every day, food was different each time and very tasty. Ice cream and snack during day - top! Our children enjoyed the aquapark, a lot of slides. Hotel Kuban has a big effort to maintain cleanliness.

United KingdomSome reception staff were quite stand offish but we didn’t need to engage with them much at all! Some food was definitely not to our liking but I’m sure others do. Mentioned in other reviews, we were facing flower street which was loud however I bought us all earplugs and eye masks as the curtains are thin and let light in from an early hour. The lift situation is insane, the middle lift broke down quite a lot & for a hotel of that size, they are small so you can end up standing there for a while waiting for an empty lift. The air conditioning in the rooms is not really fit for purpose & it was better to have the balcony door open with the fly screen closed, however at night this wasn’t possible due to the noise from Flower St that went on till around 6am. You can hear the noise with the door shut but it’s much louder with it open. The cable TV works but only has one English Channel really which is the news so take alternate entertainment if you’re planning to spend time in your room although we did find a film channel on the last night called 1000 (I think) that was Bulgarian but shown English films on. The WiFi only really works in public areas but works well there with lots of seating areas for you to chill and access it. Finally, BEWARE of the seagulls! If you eat on the balcony in the restaurant or leave one of those brown paper bags from the snack bar on your sun lounger they will come down to get it, if there’s food in it, you’ll end up with a seagull brawl on your lap. Amusing the first time but you’ll learn quickly, one of them even bit my daughters finger!!! They’re very cheeky.
The facilities were fantastic and a majority of the staff were exceptional. The animation team; Denis, Natalia, Octavia and Alisha literally made our holiday perfect. They were all so friendly & Denis was really helpful in teaching us the language and giving us advice about the local area, he’s a real asset to the team. The team even came in earlier on the day we were leaving to say goodbye and give us a certificate for being the best family of the week! We’d visit again just for them! The entertainment in the daytime and the evenings was really good, we loved the ones that engaged the guests and the Latin dancers were fabulous. We managed to find sun loungers for our family of 6 every day & the pool and slides were fantastic! Not your average slides in a hotel pool. They were really exciting and fun for all the family (Kids are 11, 14, 17 and 18). A majority of the bar staff were great, as was our cleaner (16th floor). Cleaner visited every day to make the beds, clean around and change the towels. Drinks at the bar had a great selection and the soft drinks even offered genuine Coca Cola which is not common on all inclusive. You can even get slushes at the bar (or vodka slush!) which again, is unusual for All Inclusive. The food was ok and some days better than others. Some days we found it difficult to make a meal up however we managed to eat as needed on most days and it wasn’t expensive to eat out a few times! The staff in the snack bar were nice however the food in there was also a bit hit and miss! I think that this is down to culture though and it being unusual selections for English people. Pizza was always available and some sandwiches were really good along with the warm pastries, sponge cakes and the ice cream machine. You walk out of the door on to Flower Street, then a few min walk down the street to the pier and the beach. The beach is beautiful and the sea is quite shallow for about 30m out.

IrelandI didn't like that sometimes elevators didn't work or we had to wait for it in the big queue only 3 elevators for 20 floors. It's definitely not a hotel for people that want to rest it was very loud even on 19th floor music from nearby pubs was full blast until 6 o'clock in the morning. I was very disappointed with lack of bottles of water in the room even that on Booking.com on my reservation was that its included
Aquapark was fantastic. Very close to te beach and all the attractions. Big lobby. We had a lovley stay definitely value for money. Staff was very helpfull I would stay here again

RomaniaVery cheap hotel. Ice only for cocktails 😅😅😅. Juice no ice. Mojito from the TEC mashine No alcohol in the cocktails. Beer it's for sure alcohol free! The food it's a lot but it's not fresh, my kid throw up the sausages. The soup it's made by scraps (left overs). Tiny balcony. I should give zero points because they did not have a pios working, you can not use the bank card, you need Leva!!! for everything - towels for the pool, games, parking. Exchange 10% and ATM 20 % extra charges. So a cheap voyage was not that cheap at all. Because 4stars in Bulgaria are always 2! The waitings for the elevator was excruciating, many times we took the stairs from 18s floor.
