Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicWe spend only one night here, but the B&B was great. We really appreciated the possibility of late check-in (after 20:00). The owner was very nice and friendly. I can only recommend this accommodation to everyone.

United KingdomFree parking was available but not exactly at the property. It wasn't a problem to have the car parked a couple of streets away, and we would stay again on the same basis.
We loved the inclusion of bikes for guests, and we recommend going for an early morning ride around the old town before another busy day in the city begins.

HungaryNothing really. We could also solve the parking issue in front of the house (parking time is limited but our host showed a street nearby where we could leave the car).
Very nice, clean, confortable room in valking distance from Brugge city centre. Spacious room, nice bed and great atmosphere. Very-very kind host who helped a lot with great advices. We could use the bikes to discover the old town which was a great addition. I can only recommend the place, we plan to return!

HungaryNot much to mention. Limited parking time in front of the hotel (but the host helped us to find a proper street nearby to park the car, so no real problem).

United KingdomLocation was too far from the city centre. Breakfast was a bit over priced at 20 euros per head. Bathroom open plan with the room.
Room was clean and spacious. Good wifi. Tea and coffee facilities. Continental breakfast selection.

United KingdomIt is around a half hour walk from the center , however we enjoyed our walk and there is a bus stop outside . Just something worth remembering if you have access requirements . The noise can be a little disturbing but this is due to the property keeping it’s older charm !
Fantastic host and really well sized rooms ! Couldn’t fault the cleanliness and the little bits provided that made travel easier !

GermanyWe would not mind going back, but we will rent a room on the second floor, as the first floor was constantly woken up by drunken neighbors at night (creaking floor and constant banging on the door). Probably should put up a warning sign at the hotel entrance asking for quiet at night.
Very nice host. I met her in person and had a very nice chat with her. She gave me her recommendations, told me about the area and neighboring villages. She was very hospitable. We lived on the first floor, there is a large bright room with its own toilet and shower. My wife and I were comfortable enough, we spent three nights there. I really liked how the common space for the guests was organized: kitchen, living room and terrace outside. Very stylish and functional.

New ZealandThis has got to be one of the best accomodations I've ever stayed in! Super friendly host, easy to find, spacious, comfortable, the works! We came with a car so purposely chose something a little out of the city centre so it would be easy to park. To our surprise, we were given bikes for the duration of our stay, so the expected half an hour walk to the centre actually became a 5 min bike ride! I would 100% recommend this to anyone going to Bruges!

LuxembourgCall me pedantic but if you're going to call it a 'bed and breakfast' then breakfast should automatically be included and not have a 20€ pricetag.
Loved having the bikes, the shower was nice and hot and lovely spacious room. Such a great host, was very welcoming and understood our needs perfectly.

The welcome by the host is very warm and friendly. She gives a lot of information. I stayed for work and had to leave very early, before breakfast. The host prepared a wonderful (and very welcome) breakfast for me in the fridge. There is plenty of coffee too. I’m sure it saved my day.
