If you are going to book a "Usual" room, you should know it is 12-15 m² and really small. It is hard for two people to move around after opening the suitcases. The hydraulic system of the bathroom door is really stiff, and the door doesn't stay open. I found it pointless to place large metal wrought iron recycling pockets in such a small room. You should know that the room doesn't have a window that can be opened. If you get cold easily, the air conditioning temperature is connected to a central system and cannot be changed. I can't say the bed is very comfortable. For this price, I expected a slightly bigger room. However, it is still a nice choice to stay in Brussels city center.

The location is very close to the center. The hotel is on a main street; one side is a bit quiet, but the side towards the center is lively and safe. Even though we arrived before check-in time, the staff helped us because the room was available. It's great that there is free water service at the entrance. There is a kettle and various coffee and tea options in the room. The hotel is quiet and the rooms have good sound insulation. The room decoration was very nice. The hotel felt safe.

The size of the room was... very very small. Probably the smallest room I've ever stayed in. I didn't even have a closet - any form of cabinet that would fit a shirt. Luckily I only traveled with a handbag.

Location is awesome. The whole hotel is brand new, and quite well designed.

This is probably my most favorite hotel in Brussels. The great experience has started from the first minute - the lobby has a free filtered water, the staff was very welcoming and let me to check-in earlier without any extra charge. The room is compact but well designed and fully equipped (hairdryer, ironing board, safe deposit box, kettle); I especially enjoyed the coffee and tea selection, high quality toiletries. The cafeteria serves proper coffee and has plenty vegan/gluten free options (so delicious that worth to try even if you are not vegan). There is an elevator what brings an extra comfort for those who travel with a heavier luggage or have some special needs. The location is very good - close to the metro and Nord station, there are plenty shops and bars around in the neighborhood.

I had a great stay at The Usual Brussels. The staff was really nice and helpful. I arrived early and the staff tried to find me a room which was already cleaned, so I could already check-in. Thanks a lot. The location of the hotel is very central and close to the train station BXL nord. Due to traffic calming the area is very quiet. It's also very handy that the hotel has a small coffeeshop/bistro where they serve snacks and drinks.

The sheets were rough, the bathroom door is super heavy, we wished we could have a latch to keep it opened and a light separate from the other lights so we didn't wake up eachother when we used the toilet as the big light kept coming on aswel as the bathroom light. This is only to help you guys, didn't ruin our stay. The place is amazing..

More storage in the room for clothes. We did find nooks here and there but was a little cramped for our belongings. Internet could have been better, but the staff gave me the password for the secure internet connection and that worked.

i liked it was centrally located to places in Brussels to walk, it was clean, friendly staff and we appreciate the commitment to the environment that he hotel has.

The wifi kept randomly dropping out, but I suspect that's just a teething problem. The towels were all new, so they left white fluff all over my body which rubbed off on my clothes... but again, that's only something that will be an issue for a few weeks until those towels are intensively cleaned.

The body wash and shampoo smelt great and didn't dry out my skin or scalp. Really clean room and bathroom, which is probably to be expected as the hotel had only been open for a few weeks.

I was surprised that the room wasn't cleaned every day. I received a Whatsapp that explained that this could be done for an extra charge. I didn't mind this and realise it keeps the costs down. However, I would have expected some basic cleaning, like removal of litter, checking towels, etc.

The staff at the reception were very nice. They explained the purpose of the design. The room was very nicely presented and I liked the use of recycled materials. The location was perfect as I was there for business and it was only 5 minutes walk per day.

Unfortunately the room didn't suit my work needs. I was unable to work easily from the limited space and desk top. Moreover, due to the the confidentiality aspects of my work I was unable to use the bar area.

I would recommend to provide a menu from the bar for the room and to put a more comfortable chair to the desk.

It is a new hotel where sustainability is part of the concept. The bed is comfortable, very clean the staff is super nice and helpful. The check in is very easy. Overall a nice experience, an affordable hotel in the centre of Brussels.

Since the hotel is new there were a few teething issues, one morning there appeared to be a power outage but this wasn't a big deal. We simply used the stairs instead of the lift. Otherwise it was a great place to stay.

The hotel was brand new and the facilities were great. Room was very cosy and clean. Easy self check in and a warm welcome including a hand written welcome note in the room. Close proximity to the Grand Place and close to the metro. Bed was very comfortable. We were able to securely store our bags after check out prior to leaving the city on a late train.
