Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe only issue (and is a small one) was the shower. It was a bit temperamental when trying to keep the temperature steady. Not really a problem, just a bit annoying.
Great location. It was really easy to get back and forth to the main stations and in to the central areas in town. The staff were great and welcoming. We needed some advice about our travel plans and the staff were really helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and a good selection. Really good to have a little fridge in the room too.

GreeceThe room is on the small side and it didn’t had a wardrobe. Also the elevator is tiny and I would say a bit dangerous as it stopped in the middle of floor a couple of times. The breakfast is not a continental breakfast, so the options are limited but a least everything were delicious.
The hotel has an amazing vibe, curated interiors and super friendly staff. The location is great if you want to explore the city centre by foot.

A nice breakfast, nicely decorated inside, and a good location. The communication by the hotel was excellent. And it didn't matter that I arrived late, everything was organised.

BelgiumThe room could have been a bit bigger, but the beautiful design and artistic touches made up for it. Also, the weather wasn’t great, but hey, that’s hardly the hotel’s fault, haha. Quite contrary: they have umbrellas for guests, so perfect! :)
Super cute hotel with stylish decor, but what really stood out was the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The cozy and intimate atmosphere made the stay feel truly special. Plus, the location near Saint Catherine's, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and the subway station, added a lot of convenience to the experience.

The staff were so helpful. They recommend lots of stuff to do. Always smiling. The hotel is in a good area to get around. We were only there for the one day and it was perfect for the stay

UkraineThe room was spacious and comfortable, but we didn’t really like the sink being located outside the bathroom – it wasn’t very convenient. However, the breakfast was excellent, with a good variety of options. Overall, we were satisfied with our experience and would consider staying here again.

CyprusThere was a fire alarm and as a result the hot water went off - not the hotel's fault,
I'd had a terrible day, and Manuel, he manager on shift, was incredibly kind and helpful. The place itself is lovely and incredibly convenient for everywhere in Brussels city centre.

AustraliaWe were told breakfast was at a certain time, which was a little later than we ideally would have liked but were fine with it. On arrival, other people were finishing breakfast so must have been able to start earlier which was a bit odd. There were issues with the coffee machine on each morning, along with issues with our key card not working. We also felt it had a bit of a 'hostel' vibe, not sure why but that may just be us! We were also in the front room which fronts on to the street so with the window open it was a bit noisy but necessary for ventilation. All minor issues as overall we loved our stay.
A very nice, central hotel. I was super keen to stay here as I loved the decor and aesthetic. It was all lovely, staff super helpful, breakfast quite extensive and everything in the room lovely. Lots of options at breakfast which was great too and nice and central.

United KingdomI struggled a bit with the WI FI opening of my room door. I felt that you needed "the knack" to open the door easily. I got in after awhile with the key pass.
Breakfast a good choice available. I was pleased with my room it was spacious, modern and there was a lovely view at night in a fashionable & popular area.

United StatesNothing.
Room and bathroom were large and clean. Slippers were a nice touch. Used them through my trip. Breakfast was really good, and staff was nice. Location was on a quiet street but close to tons of restaurants. Walked to and from the metro to get to the train station, but otherwise could walk to the center of town.
