You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Belgiumwe never visit the cottage as there was a problem and the owener moved us to another building that they had. The place was very simple as a sharing appartment. It was clean and close to the village center.

BelgiumThe ad described a place with a kitchen, yet the owner said that there was no kitchen. Only when we asked for a third time about it, he decided to open the shared kitchen and the living room. Breakfast was not available and not all rooms had bath tubs.

IrelandTo enter the property, we should insert a code to open the gate, that didn't work for a while and we couldn't get in touch with the hosts to get some help, the phone number provided doesn't work. The bedroom is cosy and comfortable but we could hear everything! in the other rooms. In the end it was very quiet and we could sleep very well but no privacy...
Very comfortable bed and cosy room. Several messages were sent by the hosts to provide information and welcoming.

BelgiumWifi not working. Owner not reacheable by phone or in person and did not bother responding to the email in regards to this problem. Looking at the other reviews, this seems to be a recurring (constant?) problem which has been going on for a long time and is therefor absolutly unacceptable in this time of age. Especially as there is no Tv in the rooms (and only a none working Tv in the 'shared livingroom'). You are not getting what you paid for and the owner is well advised to get this sorted for future guests.

GermanyWhen we arrived it seemed that the hotel had just reopend after the winter break. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom and no soap in the shower. Moreover, the window was damaged and could not be opened. Thus it was unfortunately not possible to ventilate the room. Finally, we discovered an extra cushion in the cupboard with (apparently) blood stains on it.
Communication with staff (Marvin) was good but could have been more effective. The hotel did not provide breakfast but offered vouchers for partner restaurants / bakerys nearby. This was communicated via E-Mail. When we arrived it turned out that the vouchers consisted only in a 10% discount on the normal price. If we had known this beforehand, we probably would have changed our booking.

DenmarkClastrophobic that the only Window was in the roof. They didnt meet us on site and made us pay through bank transfer afterwards. if done through booking.com we would have to pay extra 20%. Felt unsafe to transfer money to unknown person in another country without any garanteree for any of us. And rather inconvenient. I know it was extraordinary circumstances but it should not be made our problem.

BelgiumWe realized too late that we better get the heating unit go all night. We had turned it off for the night because we didn't want it to run when we were asleep and we don't mind a fresh bedroom. But two breathing humans + a crisp bedroom = humidity build up. We of course opened the window in the morning, but I figure an extractor would help. As you can see, I scratched my head to find something I didn't like.
The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. For example, the owner could not be there to check us in in person. So, instead, she apologized, texted us and told us what to do. She also attends breakfast and makes sure we are all at home. The location is great for hikes, which is what we came here for. Safe parking lot. At no point were we worried. The B&B is a renovated ancient house. Gorgeous. The beds are very comfy. There is a kitchen for the customers and a coffee maker, ideal for early birds like us who run on caffeine. As for the breakfast, it was very filling. The bread is out of this world. The owner also runs a bakery and if we were living here, we would totally patron them (they don't pay us to say this ;) just give it a try, they are located in La Roche on the main square).
