Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

UkraineThe room did not have enough storage place (no shelves for clothes, just several hangers). It can be not comfortable for people who stay for long time. Towels are very old and grayish. Room is very small.
Location is very comfortable. Cleaning in the room is good. Price is reasonable.

United KingdomThe room was quite dark even with the lights on but manageable. The room didn't have a kettle as advertised.
Easy to check-in. Not far from the metro and good food options nearby. The rooms were refreshingly different with nice decor.

United KingdomThe hotel is down a side alley that is quite dark at night. Not really a fault of the hotel but I would be wary walking that alone.
The pool was lovely and the staff were all really nice and helpful. Comfy bed and big shower. We left our key at reception so never had to worry about losing it. Heated pool is lovely even in November.

GermanyThe very few things I didn't like were: - carpet on the floor. It's more of a personal preference and I know it's still common in many hotel, I'm just not a big fan of it - Berger street doesn't give a safe vibe but it's not the hotel's fault, you can expect it in big and cosmopolitan cities like Brussels nowadays unfortunately. This is the price to pay for staying in the center.
My great experience started from the very beginning. The hotel personnel has sent me all the essential information via booking. The check-in process was very quick and smooth, everyone was really welcoming and friendly and I was provided with everything I needed for a pleasant stay. There's an elevator which is handy if you have a lot of luggage. As my room was on the 1st floor I didn't really need to use it though. The ground floor interior is super cool and modern, it gave me vibe of a co-working/cooperative place, where you can grab a drink and relax or work with your laptop. The breakfast is available and is served there too. There coffee and tea are available all day long downstairs. I brought my thermo bottle with me and it was super convenient to brew some tea for the whole evening/day. I really liked that the room was super clean and the furniture and bathroom stuff were modern and quality, comfy bed with lots of pillows for everyone's taste, blankets, etc. Also the room temperature was perfect for me - I didn't have to neither turn the heating on nor opposite which is quite a rare occasion. I found some of the reviews here quite disturbing and started worrying about my experience after reading those. However, I'm very happy that my experience was different and I didn't know what puts people off. The concept of the hotel is clearly explained everywhere and one notices that flair in the hotel, however, it's also clear that it's a modern view on it and the hotel is a totally different place nowadays. If you're tired of cookite-cutter hotels, I defo can recommend this stay. Otherwise, stay in Hilton or similar, Brussels has plenty of those too.

IrelandThe shower is very awkward, lacking an overhead hook and positioned in a bath that is almost at floor level. But there were ample towels, toiletries, etc. Some of the plugs could be better placed. A small fridge and a kettle would be nice.
I liked the quirky nature of the room and hotel. The bed was super comfy with lots of potential. The room was warm which was welcome as Brussels was quite chilly. I had plenty of space and the wifi connection was strong. The location was fine with Bus 71 (from/to the Grand Place area) dropping one about 100m away. The hotel is situated just off a shopping street which is helpful as I needed a laptop charger. Didn't, notice any nice restaurants but lots of fast food and cafes nearby. The staff are very pleasant and helpful.

United KingdomThe alley leading to the hotel could do with some renovation and cleaning. Once inside, the hotel was a little dated but we really enjoyed our stay.
The staff were friendly and the breakfast selection was excellent. We didn't use the pool but the pool area was superb and relaxing. The room was quirky but had lots of space and the bathroom was big too with a bath. A travel cot was provided. Despite being on the side of the hotel with the main road/alley, it was relatively quiet at night even at the weekend.

BulgariaI had two things I didn't like - the temperature in the room was low and that's my second hotel in Brussels in a month in which the room was not warm enough. Maybe I have different warmth comfort levels, I don't know, but to me, it was on the cold side. The other thing I didn't like was the shower - it's in the toilet and it's very tight in there when you shower and you wet the toilet floor. I used the floor towel after the water drained to make it ok, but it's not optimal.
The hotel is on a very accessible place, nearby a bus stop from the central train station (like 2 mins) and a lot of fast food places. It was quiet and pleasant, the bed was super comfortable with a lot of pillows. I slept great. The room was clean and big. The wifi was very good and I had no problems with my super-late checkin. There was also an elevator so I was quite happy with my room.

RomaniaBecause it is an old building, you can hear noises from the hallway and/or neighboring rooms.
Clean room, with an old-fashioned feel, albeit with renovated furnishings. Quiet at night, but recommended with the windows closed. Hotel in close proximity to plenty of stores and restaurants. Public transportation also available within 500m (bus / subway)
