Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing not to like but don’t expect a ‘modern’ junior suite. The hotel is old and full of character and the room we had followed this.
Central location, hotel was fantastic and in terms of communication and tips 10/10

United KingdomI booked the hotel parking, but the street parking outside would have been much cheaper and much less hassle. There is actually a parking garage just around the corner. I was lead to believe that the hotel parking was the closest option. It is actually only one space in a private garage so this is not a serious option for people. I asked if I could change to just park outside and was told I would have to pay for the garage too. I was really looking forward to the cooked breakfast, but it was over cooked scrambled eggs, watery mushrooms and dried out bacon. The waffles were awful. Fresh ones are fantastic so it is a shame. The pastries were good. I would recommend getting a fresh breakfast around the corner along with a proper coffee.
A lovely location very close to the center. The staff were excellent and very helpful. Lovely to be able to travel with my dog without any problems. The options to check in online beforehand are useful, but I was still asked for all the same information on arrival so not much point.

DenmarkThe room was quite small - even with no dog. It seemed as there was no air-conditioning i the bathroom, so when you had a shower, the humidty didn't go away. For us it was not a problem: We just let the air conditioner in the room take care of it.
The hotel is situated quite close to the centre, but in a quiet area, only 5-6 minutes walk from the centre. The personell at the reception was very friendly and helpfull. We had booked quite small room, perhaps too small for both us and our medium size dog. The hotel had told us beforehand that this could be a problem. However, we worked it out fine and we were very satisfied with our room and where is was situated in the hotel. It was very quiet on the ground floor with direct access to a small courtyard. The curtains shut out all of the sunlight and the airconditioner worked fine, so we slept quite late both days we stayed. The beds were just perfect, and it was possible for us to enjoy coffee or tea in the room. The selection on the TV was fine. It was clean and nice. As we did bring a dog, we didn't enjoy the facilities of the hotel or breakfast. It is quite understabdable and OK with us.

RussiaI think it’s time to renovate the rooms;) The hotel is very clean, but the rooms are already “tired”. Also it’s better to add more sockets.

GermanyThe room itself was quite small but still okay. The bathroom was not separated by a real door, but an accordian style door instead. The wardrobe, as well as the rest of the interieur seemed a bit antique, with its sliding doors hard to handle.
Great location in walking distance to all sights the city has to offer. Great staff, that was very friendly and helpful at all times. Reception and hotel bar basically open 24/7. Very nice facilities (courtyard patio, gym, sauna/spa). Lots of options at the complimentary breakfast buffett.

United KingdomThe room was not as clean as it should have been on arrival. Tea bags are provided in the room but no milk, just creamer (who has creamer with milk - yuk!). Breakfast does not start until 8am, which does not accommodate business travelers.
Great location, walking distance to all local attractions, shops, and restaurants. The bed was very comfortable.

IrelandOnly one small thing, the shower in our room....the bathroom had a bath and a shower hose, however there was no high up shower holder and so had to sit in bath to wash hair.
Lovely location, not far from the canal and Markt Square. Nice and quiet at nightime. Old style hotel with lots of character. Has a small bar. Plenty of choice at breakfast. Staff very helpful. Easy walking distance to most attractions and visitor locations.
