No much information about common areas and use of tea and coffee station or if you needed a towel. Obviously it’s a hostel, but beds were really not comfortable

1. No elevators and the room was on the 3rd floor the staircase was tiresome with luggage. 2. we were handed over the beddings and were supposed to carry them up until the 3rd floor and arrange them ourselves on the bed, pillow covers and the blanket covers - was tedious. 3. we were also supposed to remove the used linen and submit it at the reception. IMO, this should be the job of the housekeeping as for the guests it becomes time consuming. 4. the upper bunks did not have a charging slot and the reading light wasn't working. 5. On the third floor there was just one toilet, which was mosltly never free. 6. No hot water on the 3rd floor. 7. Too many mosquitoes at night.

The common sitting area was dirtier than I would have liked e.g sand on the couches but this is more the guests than the hostel staff. Floor towels in the bathrooms need to be changed much more often as they were very wet from the previous person showering and the showers smelt of mould as there’s no windows or extraction fans.

This accomodation was nicer than I expected, the section I stayed in was very modern and had nice fixtures / furnishings. I was upgraded from a 10-person mixed dorm to a 4-person female only dorm which was really kind and appreciated - staff was great. Great location that’s easily accessible by foot and there’s buses close by too.

Music in the living room. Playlist needs an update with better songs for sure. Found a beg bug in room 35, so maybe be a little more careful in cleaning.

I stayed at this hostel in 2016 and now in 2024. Have to say everything was pretty much the same (in a good way). The living room is such a vibe, although the choice of music can be improved ;) The room was clean although I did find a bed bug on the first night. But the beds are comfortable. Best part is the beer on tap which is great. Toilets were clean, although not super clean at the same time, but it works. Its not a luxury hostel, but a proper backpackers hostel and meets all your needs. Staff is super amazing.

- Blood stain on pillow. Fortunately, I can sleep without a pillow - Too many mosquitoes! I was bitten a total of 13 times during my stay!

A little disappointed that none of the social fun n games, advertised online (pub quiz, karaoke, card games, etc.) didn't happen. This is not the fault of the management, but the other guests just weren't interested.

The location is perfect - within walking distance of all the sights. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen was a bit small, but you could manage preparing food on the large tables in the spacious dining room. I even liked the music that was playing in the bar area. Romanian, Brazilian, etc., giving it a great international vibe.

1- the window of the room i was in was directly on top of the bar next door, so you can hear some disrtubance during the night if you plan to sleep early. 2- it would be nice to have curtains in the box you sleep in for more privacy

Fridge needed a clean and actual labels for labelling. I had food eaten as stated ‘no label, it’s anyone’s’ but had nothing to label it with!! Third floor showers were cold and second floor too hot!

Great location at heart of city and rustic feel. Kitchen was fine and ample space to sit, chat and socialise. Rooms and lockers secure (if you need that assurance) and no hurry for check out. Luggage storage easy. Relaxed venue with friendly staff

The only downside was the presence of a lot of mosquitoes in one of the bunker spaces. Adding a mosquito curtain in the windows could help resolve this issue and make the space more comfortable for guests.

The hotel's location was ideal, offering easy access to nearby attractions and dining options. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, providing a comfortable atmosphere for relaxation. The bed was comfortable, with clean linens.

Meg tying your sheets and making your own bed could be easily done by staff and add to the positive experience! The main rec room needs an update as does the communal kitchen which I didn’t use.

I never stay in hostels but because a one night stay and high hotel rates o booked this hostel! The staff were incredibly nice especially the volunteer staff but also front desk! I booked in the new section with four bunks and it was great! Bathrooms are stone and all new! Highly recommend!

My only complaint/suggestion is that the communal fridge isn’t accessible while the kitchen/bar area is locked off. I had to check-out early in the morning at which time I wouldn’t have been able to collect my food so I had to remove it from the fridge before the kitchen closed which meant I had to worry about the food spoiling in the heat of the dorm over night. Perhaps the fridge could be located in one of the areas that is not locked over night?

The hostel was really well fitted out for such a traditional building with amazing traditional features in the communal areas and smart modern decor and finishes in the dorm. The hostel is also really well located for access to the train/bus station and the old town.
