Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomHotel says ‘city centre’ however it is still about 15 minute ish walk into the main part. This was ok for us but just be aware. A little loud on the streets outside at night but nothing that kept us awake.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived but we were able to put our luggage in a luggage room. One of the best sleeps I've ever had in an hotel, very comfortable bed. Cleaners cleaning our room even though we was only there 2 days. Close enough to train/metro stations (5/10min ish walk). Basic hotel but had everything we needed for a short stay.

GreeceSmall room, small TV. There wasn't refrigerator in the room. I was told that they have been removed 2 years ago from all rooms.
Convenient location for the specific job I had, very close to the Brussels Nord train station.

BulgariaI have no things to complain.
I enjoyed the welcoming reception. The lobby was clean and comfortable with armchairs to wait for your turn at the reception desk. The room was cosy and with enough space. The bathroom was equipped with very modern appliances and newly renovated. In addition, there was a bath tube. Breakfast was charming and with variety. Juices were good and coffee was decent. It was a nice stay!

MaltaLift was out of order when we checked out. On a personal level no bother at all. Found it peculiar that the staircase leads down drafty, barren, concrete steps. Seemed like the route wildlife in Angkor Wat would take when going to drinking hole.
Merely 1 night after flight. Arrive later in evening, leave next morning after breakfast. Imho twas the best price/distance/quality ratio. Hotels next to airport utterly dull and their close proximity to the airport is reflected in the price. This fit the bil quite nicely. Close to airport by train. Clean and comfortable enough for the night. It’s Best Western. It’s okay. The Aston Villa of hotel chains. Unlikely to ever be champions, but at the very least not bad at all. Stay was certainly good for its purpose.

FranceClean and comfortable room and bathroom. Kind and helpful staff. What I really appreciated was that I was frankly informed that there may be some noise due to works outside in the morning in this period. Anyway it wasn't an issue for me as I went out very early for work! The location was not ideal but it was fine as I was traveling alone (without family). Overall I think it's a good value for money.

Saudi ArabiaRoom was very small. Toilet was tiny and bathroom had terrible lighting. Shower was cold if you didn't hold the spray gun above your head.
Bed was very comfy, location is reasonably close to the city centre, and very close to the underground.

SwitzerlandThe area around the hotel does not seem safe - lot's of strange people around the station, was really afraid to go to the station and back in the dark time of the day. Also, we were living there in winter and it was very cold in the rooms. There was heating in the room, but from 3 nights I stayed in the hotel - 2 nights there was some problem with heating, it just suddenly stopped working at night, and it was quite cold at night and in the morning.
Close to the Nord railway station, comfortable to travel. Staff was very nice, friendly and trying to help.

IrelandNot the hotel's fault, but the location is a bit seedy behind the North station and there were lots of construction works going on during our stay, which left the streets around very messy. But, despite this we did not experience any issues coming and going during the day or in evening.
Value for money, staff very helpful with facilities what would be expected for the price. Kettle and hairdryer as well as extra blanket in room very useful. Location is very good as it is very close to the shopping area which also has good selection of cafes, restaurants and bars. If you walk up this main shopping street you arrive at Grand Place. Also close to/beside the Gare de Nord/North station which is the first stop on the Airport train - this is great as you can get rid of bags quickly without too much struggle. If you come out the back of the Gare de Nord station, the hotel is just a short walk away. I would recommend looking at the street map beforehand to figure out the location. Standard budget hotel and gives what one would expect.
