Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FinlandHotel was quite expensive (for my budget at least). Quiet location naturally means that it was quite far away from the nearest pub, but the walk didn't hurt, especially since part of it went through the botanical garden.
Quiet surroundings, next to the botanical garden and close to the northern railway station. Basically everything worked. The room was clean and even had a bath tub (in my experience, rare nowadays).

IrelandWe did not opt for breakfast, as it was too expensive €17. While one of the cheaper hotels in the area, still expensive for what you get.
The location is good. You can access both the North train station and other metro stations with just a few mins walk. The area does have a slightly rough feel to it, perhaps due to its proximity to the train station, however we never felt unsafe and it was a good location to base ourselves to explore the city and travel out to Ghent and Bruge We had a triple room. Perfect size. Beds were comfy. Bathroom was a good solid size also. The walls are thin so if you had a noisy neighbour then you would be able to hear, but we did not and slept perfect. The room is clean, but not sparkling. A good few marks on the table, and a few areas that could do with a deep clean, but overall it’s as you would expect for a Best Western. Check in and out was quick. Never had to wait.

United KingdomI would have expected the plug to be near the kettle but it wasnt. The mattress could do with replacing soon as I felt it was lower on the side where you get out of bed.

United KingdomWhile a number of general safety deposit boxes are available behind the reception, these are somewhat limited in number and availability might possibly be an issue at busier times. I much prefer in-room safes, which offer more privacy and ease of use.
The room was clean, dry and warm. Room cleaning was good. The staff were very good and tried their best to help with enquiries and general things. The local authority have put a great deal of effort into improving the area in the vicinity of the hotel and it makes you feel more welcome in the area.

Good location near brussels noord Station for trips outside brussels. Close to botanical gardens and Royal area. Hotel as expected for a chain hotel..comfort but no frills. Free luggage storage. It's about a 20 minute walk to the Grand Palace but metro is just round the corner. I have previously been to Brussels and have found this area the better area to stay in.

PolandIt was really noisy outside and due to the fact that the window in the bathroom was not super tight - every little thing (sounds) from the street were perfectly good heard in the room, so a bit interrupted my sleep. Also wi-fi was working kind badly and often disconnected completely.
The hotel room was small yet nice, pretty clean (except for windows), the bed was really comfy and soft. There was a kettle with some coffee to make, which I made and drank in the morning, and it was quite tasty. In general the hotel was very good and cozy, the staff was very friendly and nice. The subway station is 5 min walk from the hotel, along with Starbucks and a few restaurants, there is also a botanical garden nearby.

United KingdomThe breakfast (extra) was very standard. Things like the fruit salad straight out of a tin. In bedroom, 1 tea bag, 1 coffee, and just one freeze dried milk powder. Why so mean; 2 of each would show a bit of generosity. so breakfast similar in spirit. if they stated which mainline station was close by, this would have saved a taxi ride. Not near the central station

SpainThe only thing that comes to mind is that the plugs were not situated next to the beds to charge the phone but it’s not a massive issue.
Very good value for the price. Close to the centre. Cleaner was coming everyday to change bedsheets and towels which was great. Room has air con which can be also a heater. Very spacious and the beds were very comfortable.
