Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ChinaNoise Issues: Due to the apartment’s location in a popular tourist area, noise from people walking through Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert or leaving nearby bars can be heard after 11 PM. Especially on the first night of the stay, a wedding was held in the gallery, and the noise from dismantling the event setup (tables, catering equipment, etc.) lasted until midnight, car alarms going off due to equipment hitting parked vehicles can also disturb the peace.
Advantages: 1. Prime Location: The apartment is located on Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert in Brussels, within walking distance of Brussels Central Station and Grand Place. The surrounding area is filled with shops, making it extremely convenient for shopping and transportation. 2. Well-stocked Mini Bar: The apartment offers a well-stocked mini bar that includes soda, beer, cola, and fruit wine, providing a variety of beverage options for guests. 3. Hearty Breakfast: The breakfast offered by the apartment is abundant, including croissants, baguettes, sandwiches, ham, cheese, juice, coffee, etc. If guests enjoy cooking, they can also make dishes like fried eggs or omelettes. 4. Comfortable Living Conditions: Comfortable Bed: The bed is very comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep without waking up with back pain. Spacious Bathroom: The bathroom is well-equipped with both a shower and a bathtub, and the long sink allows three people to use it simultaneously.

New ZealandMain bathroom has been updated with new tiles on floor etc. The shower area needs upgrading as mold in grouting.
Great location near Grand Place. Walking distance to restaurants, trains etc. Spacious, we were in Diva room. Nice to stay in a more traditional building. Bed very comfortable. Good communication with host and clear instructions with key. Unfortunately we had to get a train early so couldn’t have the breakfast that was included. Had a bath.

TurkeyThe attitude of the manager and lady who seemed like the director was real offensive and rude.
The location of the hotel was superb. The breakfast was delicious and our room was very spacious. But there is one point that we were disappointed in. We arrived very early in the morning without a nights' sleep and our friends were staying already at the hotel as they had arrived the night before. We went to greet them and the staff was nice enough to put our luggage in an empty room, we were told that our room would be ready at one o'clock. So we asked if we could have breakfast that day and we were told that it wasn't possible as our check-in was at 13.00, everything was acceptable. But then we received a call from the manager saying that he saw us from the cameras and that we acted AGGRESSİVELY!!! We had just asked if breakfast would be possible.... Then we talked with the lady who seemed like the head of the staff (she was the only one talking English) and we explained that there was a misunderstanding telling us that we were in an aggressive behavior. She also talked with us in a very OFFENSİVE way. I beilieve that a guest should be treated politely especially if they approach in a polite and nice way. This treatment was a real DİSAPPOİNTMENT!! Other than that, as an earring fell on the floor and we were trying to find it, we discovered that there was incredible dust and leftovers from previous guests under the table in our room.

United KingdomThe lighting; as the rooms were decorated so dark and moody, the lighting should be a lot better Dusty, dark rooms show a lot of dust Rooms felt a little tired, needed a little paint touch up
The location was fantastic, two minute walk from Grand Place The look and feel of the rooms, out of the ordinary, which was great Big rooms including the bathroom

United KingdomHeating within the room could not be turned down without the pipes rattling and hissing however, the heat would be good for the colder months! Couldn't really use the bath despite how excited we were to use it, water pressure was low and took quite a while to heat up. Lastly, the pillows were not great for the size of the bed. Extra pillow options would be preferred. None of these things would put me off staying again :)
Fantastic location, stunning large open room that looked on to a prime location in the centre of brussels. Literally across from the main square. Breakfast was sinole yet delicious, variety of cheese and meat aling with multiple bread and sweet pastry options. The bathroom was large and beautiful, room had lots of character and the room came with tea, coffee, and a fan for the much needed heat! Couldn't have expected more.

United StatesThe communication was not good. They would not answer any questions. Also the email they sent the morning of my arrival said my key and instructions for the elevator would be in the mailbox with my name in it. My name wasn’t on any mailbox! I had to call and a man came down and opened the mailbox with the name of the room I was to stay in and inside was a paper with my name! If you stay just go through all the mailboxes to find the one meant for you. There are no auto lights in the entrance when you come in and it is pitch black, I had to use my phone flashlight to get to the elevator!
The location near the central square and just a couple blocks from the central train station was exceptional! The bed/pillows were great and the amenities nice. It was also very quiet. The continental breakfast was good. There was much to like about the decor as well.

United StatesThe bathtub was gorgeous and I even got champagne to indulge on the final night of my vacation but sadly the tub did not work properly. Took close to 5 minutes to get warm, came out slow, and then it wouldn't retain the water (never covered my knees). I tried messing with the drain but nothing.
Overall the place was great. The "mall" it was located in was beautiful (wouldn't shop at it though) and gave such character to the experience. The room felt like I was in a movie set in the 1800's and was a wealthy traveler spending my summer abroad. It was easy to get to, get into, and felt safe and secure. Great communication from staff.

ItalyBecause of the old wooden floor I almost tripped.. also the cable of the movable shower head was leaking all the water while in use.
Very close to the city centre, the hotel owner let us check in before the scheduled time. The room (Magritte) was comfortable enough and the bathroom was spacious.

AustraliaBreakfast is great ..... if you eat meat and dairy (which unfortunately I don't) There were no alternatives eg oat milk so it was just bread and spreads for me, and a tiny fruit cup. The coffee is very ordinary and there was no tea provided in the room.
The huge floor space and bath was amazing! I had a 1 night stay post 4 nights camping at Tomorrowland so the room felt luxurious! The full size bath tub was exactly what my body needed There is no aircon but the fan provided was sufficient overnight and the windows all open and let in a nice breeze. There is a mini bar with soft drinks and water for guests located in the hall. Luggage can be stored at a chocolate shop next door as the hotel itself isn't staffed I also attended an event at the Theatre below so the location could not have been better.
