The curtains were very flimsy and didn't keep out the light, so the room was quite bright by 6am. The landing outside the room was very echoing, so when neighbouring guests came in at 2am and 4am (!!!) their doors banged loudly. Carpet on the landing would cure this problem.

Location very good directly opposite the railway station. Room a good size and very comfortable bed. Nice bathroom with shower and bath. Breakfast was OK, but little choice of hot food. Dinner in the restaurant in the evening was excellent.

The proprietor has a duty of care to their guests of any potential hazards to health. In this case, there was micro dust particles embedded in the heavy window curtains and window-sills from building works, all within 100meters from the front facade of the hotel. As a result, I became very ill from this, due to my allergy to dust! As a result of this, it spoilt my stay at Ghent and I cannot give it a higher rating.

The location was very good and handy; especially exceptional when we travelled by train.

The only issue - and it's a VERY small one - is that the elevator does not open directly on to the first floor, so after exiting the elevator, I had to carry my luggage up a short flight of stairs to my door level.

Arriving and departing Ghent via train, this hotel was ideally located less than 2 minutes' walk from the railway station. Staff were friendly and helpful. I had a nice room overlooking the plaza in front of the railway station. The Nepalese meal in the adjoining restaurant was very good indeed.

WiFi was pretty slow.

Comparing with other options, this hotel was a good value for money. The owner was very kind, and helped us with parking, warmed up our food (because of the strict diet, we can only eat the food we cook ourselves).

On the morning after we checked in, the hotel staff opened our locked door without knocking. We felt bad and scared about being broken into. There was something wrong with the management.

Low water pressure. Lack of room lighting. Not so clean. We found a worn t-shirt in the wardrobe. Not so good bed. Poor soundproofing.

The staff does not have a dressing code, making it unsafe to identify who is actually working there. The front door and room door are squeaking and the facilities are really old, need some maintenance in the shower and wifi not working on the top floor.

My room had a window oriented into the inner space which was filled with airconditioning and simillar staff. So, not a nice view. I prefer a hard matress and this one was very soft (but that is of personal preference).

Room was spacious and realy clean. I was able to leave my luggage at the reception as I arrived early. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was of a continental type, very rich and coffe was good. Hotel is situated only 2 min from the main train station.

Leaving Ghent,a fine place for a cultural holiday

I liked being in my comfortable,quiet room.I appreciated the efficiency and friendliness of the staff,The breakfast was excellent.I liked being a short walk through Citadel Park to the wonderful MSK Art Museum with its plethora of Netherlandish,Flemish,and Belgian Paintings.

This is a modest hotel conveniently located across the plaza from the train station in Ghent. My room was large, well heated, and comfortable with a view over the park to the train station, the bathroom was spotlessly clean. There is a tram from the train station to the city center and other places of interest and the museum of fine arts is in the Citadel Park a few minutes walk away. The hotel has a restaurant and offers breakfast as well as evening meals.

This is technically a 3-star hotel but felt more like a 2-star due to the age of the fit out. Duct tape was used to hold the TV decoder in my room. Water pressure in the shower was low.

The location was very close to Gent Sint Pieters Train Station and trams/buses. The hotel has a lift. The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and gave us tips on how to travel around Ghent. WiFi was fast at 260mpbs! Rooms were clean and there's daily housekeeping. We had a good view of the train station. There were several reviews about the rooms smelling of heavy cooking from the Nepalese restaurant downstairs but we were lucky to not experience that.

Stairs were quite dangerous (one stair in particular that curved down and nearly made me trip every time!) - but there is a lift available.

Super central hotel, right by the station. Quick check in by a friendly host. Bathroom well cleaned. Easy key card access for anyone who is out late.

The walls are extremely thin, so if you have bad neighbors, you will hear them entering their rooms, their conversations, and every step they take. I didn't have a single good night's sleep as I had neighbors coming in at 4 AM each night. The shower was barely functional with almost no water pressure, and the soap holder was just broken off and left laying on the bathtub edge. The mattresses were extremely soft. One was so soft that I got back pain laying on it. No mini fridge. The cleaner did not exchange a cup I used for a fresh one, instead just flipping it over and putting it back as if it was fresh. It was not because all the tea stains were still visible along the inside and the outside of the tea cup. Either don't touch the cup or exchange it for a new one, but don't pretend that the cup was fresh if it is not.

Very friendly staff, was accommodating and explained well where to find what. The location is also hard to beat as it is close to the train station. The heating in the room worked well. The elevator worked well. Pillows were good.

The shower screen door has mould in the runner at the bottom which wasn't very nice, the water pressure was bad if you wanted hot water so the shower was more like a trickle.

Good location, easy to find, lovely spacious room. breakfast nice and varied options. Staff friendly.
