Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNot loads walking distance, but enough and we ended up hiring a car so didn’t matter! Also, a rooster kept waking us up at 6:30am - which was lovely & nothing to hotel could do I suppose and we didn’t mind but, yeah - no alarm clock needed!
Lovely big room Modern & spacious Welcoming environment Clean & tidy with good pools On site restaurant also good! Rum punches - strong & tasty We also used the gym facilities and they’re better than most small hotels so, was a plus for us. Would recommend & stay again

United Statesthe only thing is, it was far from the popular places to visit but that didn't stop us from going and having great time lol
I loved everythinggggg about this hotel! The room was so beautiful and super comfortable. The viewwww was insane from our balcony. We could see the beach and our pool right from our balcony. Overall, this is one of the best hotels to stay at when visiting Barbados.

We had a 3-bedroom condo. Very spacious and all en-suite. Washing machine and dryer were an added bonus. Staff were friendly and helpful. Also liked that there was a restaurant on site and meals were decent. For us the location was great as it was convenient to everything we wanted to do

Trinidad and TobagoDining area is small and Extremely hot and uncomfortable .
Breakfast was acceptable but the dining area is very , very , very hot. They need to put in a permanent structure instead of a plastic awning which radiates the heat . The food is acceptable but its so hot that you end up taking it away to eat in your room.

Everything was perfectly comfortable. I only wish I could have stayed longer and got to enjoy it. Hopefully, they will keep their standards, and I can when I get back.

United StatesThe onsite restaurant just changed management this week so there menu was more limited than normal.
The photos do NOT lie! This is a gorgeous, family owned hotel overlooking the ocean. It's also near several amazing restaurants and the venues in Holetown. The staff are all incredibly helpful and the facilities are kept spotless. The owners made a point to introduce themselves to us. With 4 pools, a restaurant and bar, and a coffee stand onsite, we were well taken care of!

United StatesThe on-site Cafe. While the food was good, the staff was rude and unaccommodating. The wait time to receive our food was ridiculously long.
The staff consistently went above and beyond. The concierge staff is first rate and easy to get in touch with. They were able to answer all of our questions. They made suggestions for places to eat and visit, and arranged for transportation when we needed it. The owner was willing to get personally involved to make sure our stay was memorable. I can't say enough about our experience.

United StatesThe pool nearest our room was open until 10 p.m. - but there were no lights around the pool so we didn't access past sundown.
Clean, comfortable facilities and friendly staff. Great location - can walk to beach and various restaurants. There was also a restaurant onsite along with a store to buy smaller items. Appreciated that beach towels and chairs were provided. Nice touch to be invited to owner's house for drinks - was not able attend as we had already booked another activity.

United Kingdom- lacked a bit of atmosphere (which wasn’t a major issue for us) so you need to go outside of hotel to find the Barbados buzz (we were also in off-season technically so was quieter)
- location - apartment space was brilliant - food in the sugar apple cafe was good - child’s pool was fantastic (room location was great) - the hut (where you could buy ice creams, snacks and hire a car for however long for a reasonable price) - return taxi well priced - cleaners/restaurant staff very friendly

United KingdomIt’s not a resort . You are left very much to your own, which we loved . So if you are looking for waiter service from your sun lounger, this hotel is not for you.
Stunning, exceptionally clean hotel just across the road from a beautiful beach. The apartment/suites are huge. Fully equipped kitchen with complimentary bagels, butter, jam, tea, coffee, milk, water & and small bottle of rum punch on arrival. Car rental on site was super handy. 3 pools with ample sun beds. Staff are super friendly & work tirelessly to ensure their guests are having the best stay. Thank you Beach View Hotel!

United KingdomUnfortunately the road noise from the luxury apartments takes away from the tranquil feel of the site. It is also a little tricky to cross the busy road to get to the beach.
The apartment itself was beautiful. As were the gardens. Really appreciated the portable umbrella and chairs for the beach. Reception had lovely local products on sale. Very handy bus stop outside.

Our apartment was very spacious, so far better option that a hotel. Everything was easy at Beach View. Very chilled there and great to have a few pools to choose from. Great location - lots of lovely beaches within very easy distance. Definitely worth hiring a car via the hotel so that you can really explore the island.

BarbadosNothing!
I liked everything at Beach View! I usually stay with family when in Barbados but wanted to stay in a hotel for a few days, as I was there for my birthday. I visited two hotels to see what they were like and the vibe at Beach View was immediately so welcoming. I had left booking until the last minute but they were able to accommodate my request for an ocean view room, and the view was absolutely stunning! Everything went smoothly and was so well organised. The little touches (items in the fridge to tie me over, recyclable shopping bag) were much appreciated. Sonia and the rest of the team at reception were wonderful, as was David, who helped me get settled, and I finished my stay with a fantastic massage by Aaliyah. My three-day stay was way too short but I will be back and for longer. Thanks to everyone for helping me to continue my birthday celebrations in the best way!

United StatesIt is too far away from home. Visiting Beach View Hotel will require quite a few hours of being on the plane!
We had a very spacious and clean suite when we checked in. I loved the swimming pool that was less than 20 steps from our back patio. I swam everyday during our stay - even on the day when it was pouring down rain! The concierge was very helpful in arranging taxi rides and local attraction tickets for us. Our suite, pool, lounge area, and the surrounding landscaping were beautifully maintained. Having the full kitchen, washer, and dryer was a plus. We truly enjoyed our stay at Beach View Hotel.

FranceThe room was quite dark on the ground floor and a bit noisy at times because of a fast road just next door. Tv in the bedroom was very small. I felt that what we paid for the room was too much VS value. Other buildings are newer and look nicer from the outside
The location is great, hotel is clean with lot of great restaurants around. It does feel very safe. The service from the hotel is also brillant.
