Outlook from the restaurant was picturesque; breakfast good, particularly when there were more people staying in the hotel; restaurant and "bar" prices fair; my room had no actual window but had a large fake on down one wall which gave an impression that there was one, but the room was large, well-ventilated, well-appointed and clean. I would imagine that more expensive rooms would have a pretty spectacular view. Check-in and out were easy. Wifi was good. The hotel itself is about 10 minutes walk from Sarajevo old town, sited on a steep hill halfway up to the Yellow Fortress (probably the best viewpoint over the city) and about 20 minutes from the Trg Austrie bus stop for the 103 which drops you 10 minutes walk from the airport. I'd stay here again.

The hotel is very old and there was no air condition, luckily it wasn't hot when I was there.

The lad on reception was very rude when I told him I needed to check out because I had an early flight to catch. This meant he had to set up the credit card machine which he did in a huff when serving me.

The lack of heating in the room (the outdoors temperature at night was just above 0C during my stay) despite central heating radiators was unfortunate, and the lack of any kind of soundproofing on the doors and windows was noticeable. Also, I found the lack of kettles or smoking places (other than outside the main entrance) striking. Personally I enjoyed the hike up the hill from the city, but some visitors might find it challenging, especially along an unlit main road at night.

The hotel's ambience is very classical, and the view over Sarajevo is amazing. The bathroom was clean and surprisingly large, with fantastic water pressure; and having a desk in the room was a great bonus. The reception staff were all very friendly and helpful; and the breakfast buffet was defintely ok (although the quality of coffee could be improved somewhat).

Couldn’t fault it really had a great stay

So retro and such beautiful views over the city! The hotel is walking distance from old town yet feels off the beaten track, the ambience is like stepping back to Sarajevo in the 70’s, such a cool hotel, staff were friendly, warm and welcoming! Breakfast was simple but delicious, the waiter made me such a yummy omelette! Really couldn’t fault this hotel such great value for money, I would go all the way back to Sarajevo just to stay in the hotel really the vibes were immaculate!

Not easy to find (GPS guides you on very narow high road, but it's easy to access from main road). If you are clastrophobic don't take capsle room. It didn't bother us after whole day on the motor, but could somebody planing to stay few days.

I asked for a boiler for the room and they said they did not have it. There is no hair dryer in the room or any luxury staff, just basic.

The hotel is located 10-12 minutes walking to the old town. The way on foot is quite strange, you have to be careful cuz of cars. The hotel is quite old and basic, old fashioned. Need to be renovated, honestly. For the price, it is ok. The breakfast is fine. Nothing much, with basic stuff but fine. You can only enjoy the view from the restaurant, which is amazing. The staff are nice but not extremely.

The room didn't look like on the picture. For the price it is fine, but nowadays not to have a small fridge or a kettle is surprising. The mattress was not very comfortable. But over all goood hotel.

The location of the hotel is awesome, super close to the center and you have a very nice view of Sarajevo. The breakfast is good, all the main stuff were present.

A laundry and water was running late at night. It appears it was above my room. I do not care for the furniture,but I think it should be upgraded.

My room was clean. I did not notice any kind of pest. I was not there for breakfast, so I can not tell. Although Hotel Saraj provides a free Wi-Fi I did not connect on their 3G network. I used my S23 Ultra with 5G roaming voice/message service.

The location was close to the city centre (about 10 minutes walk). The room was spacious and clean. There is a TV in the room, but the view out the window was not the best (view of a big rock). I think the accommodation could use some renovation. The staff were friendly, and they got me a taxi early in the morning. The reception is open 24 hours a day. The breakfast was OK, also with vegetarian and vegan options (muesli, fruit, vegetables, eggs, butter, cheese...).

The hotel staff is unfriendly as most of people in Sarajevo (but not elsewhere in Bosnia). BE CAREFUL: If you take so-called capsule (for 30 EUR) be aware that it is a room without a window. Rooms with windows have higher prices (but still reasonable).

Nice hotel, comfortable room, although equipment (furniture, TV etc.) a bit worn out. Excellent, rich and tasteful breakfast, Parking garage, free of charge. Hotel is easy accesible by the car. Close to the city center (ca. 10 minutes walk to Baščaršija).
