    Nothing bad to say.

Great location and view , breakfast was good and the staff were very helpful. I would highly recommend Winter Haus if you are planning to visit Thredbo. The only caveat I would add is to avoid booking this property if you have trouble with stairs - there are lots of them!

Aswell as everyone it would be the stairs. We have kids and we found parking our car in the Thredbo Friday flats carpark P4 and then each day we would take off our skis and boots leave them in our car and change into gumboots and catch the bus home. Then in the morning bus back down and grab skis and boots out of the car. It’s a short walk and no stairs. Worked for us perfectly.

The view is stunning We stayed in the family mountain view and it was great for all of us to be cosy and hang out at night The cooked breakfast was great Greg was incredible and went above and beyond for our stay. I even needed urgent paperwork printed off and he had it done in minutes. Greg dinner tips were all amazing aswell.

Quite a few stairs to access building as well as the bus stops.

Convenient location, ease of check in, friendly staff and nice warm breakfast. The common room is very spacious. Locker available to store your equipment. The room is warm and comfortable, no issue with hot water shower for the 5 of us. Highly recommended.

A little too far from the Resort slopes but only a short walk down the steps to a bus which can take you to the chairlifts or wherever you wish to visit in the resort.

Nice little verandah with a great view of the ski slopes. Having our own bathroom was a definite bonus. Lovely comfy shared lounge area with a verandah and awesome views with fridge. Breakfast each day was really awesome. Different menus each day. Ease of communication with Winterhaus and great parking as well.

Best value and host in Threbo

The budget rooms suit us, and we love having a balcony (shared with two neighbouring rooms), but it would be nice if there was a partition to divide each room's balcony for privacy. Would also be ideal if there was a small little bar fridge in these rooms (the shared fridge in the common room for food is perfect for food, but carrying an esky of beers down all the steps to your room (on your birthday weekend) is hard work 🤣

😃😃😃 Greg is an amazing host and will do anything to ensure that you are comfortable and need nothing. The location is great (many steps to stretch out those burning thighs after a day on the mountain) and a bus stop right at the bottom of them, to all Thredbo locations. Clean rooms and facilities, great, cosy, comfy common room and incredible views.

Great lodge, but be prepared for a steep hill & steep stairs

The lodge is situated at the very top of the village. LOTS of stairs. We were warned prior, but be prepared to walk up a steep hill AND steep stairs coming up from the main village. It's a punish! And you'll have to lug all your ski/boarding gear up these stairs on the daily as well. We booked the bunk room (for 2) with a shared bathroom with one other room. Note that the room is very small & pokey as shown in their photos however for the price, it's very reasonable.

Greg was a great host. The cooked breakfasts were exactly what you needed before a day on the mountains. Bathrooms & toilets were always kept clean as were the common areas. Good that onsite parking was available. Shuttle buses from the bottom of the stairs were also very handy to get to the village, Valley Terminal & Friday Flat. Drying room is a god send.

Comfortable and cozy accommodation in Thredbo. Breakfast was generous, rooms were a decent size and the communal lounge area was nice. Close to the free shuttle bus stop.

It is a bit of a hike up and down the stairs in ski boots but that is a very minor issue.

We thought the family room was perfect sized for a big family with a great view of the mountain. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were so friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The shuttle bus to the slopes was a short walk and this was so good at the beginning and end of the ski day.

It’s a steep walk from Friday Flat to Winterhaus at the end of a day of hiking. If you’re elderly or have bad knees consider paying for onsite parking at $20/day.

Clean room & ensuite, fantastic view, hearty breakfast, comfy beds, friendly hosts, good water pressure in shower, large common area to mix with hosts & guests.
