the Foxtel is very out of date and needs an upgrade. The tapware in the bathroom needs replacing. we had to get a plumber in to replace the taps in the shower. The fans were very dirty.

Well situated near Four Mile Beach and Macrossan Street. Pleasant pool and surrounds. Easy undercover parking. Full kitchen. WiFi was patchy during our stay. Service from Seascape Holidays was excellent

Poor communication re getting into the property. No manager on site and old cane couch on balcony.

Very good position near Main Street and beach. Comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. Lovely swimming pool.

Cleaning not perfect - partner had someone's toenail cutting stuck to his foot, not very nice at all. Place needs some TLC, some placemats would be good at the table, would protect the wood. Yes, it is near Macrossan Street BUT the opposite end to where most places e.g. restaurants, pubs etc, are. Outside furniture was too rusty to sit on, didn't want rust marks on clothes; the view was just of a fence with a few palms in front. Fridge possibly may need replacing or new door seals, often does not close properly. DVD player there BUT no control, and not connected, very disappointing.

Cooking facilities were okay. Kitchen equipment generally acceptable. Bed okay. Having a ceiling fan was good as we are not lovers of ac all the time.

We had our stay after the bad rain in Port Douglas which resulted in our water being turned off for 2 whole days while staying at Tropic Sands...during this time not once did they contact us to see that we were okay or offer any solutions or helpful advice during the situation. When we contacted booking.com about it they contacted the owners who claimed they reached out to us directly while the water was turned off which they didn't. The apartment is way more expensive than it should be, run down, basic, pool was smelly, there is a $25 dollar charge if you leave behind any rubbish or do not take out the bins yourself and have all cutlery clean and put away. I understand if it was a cheap accommodation but to pay money for this place and be expected to do this was a bit ridiculous to me.

The apartment smelt terrible and felt unclean. The bed was so uncomfortable that it made it impossible to sleep. We left after only one night as it was horrific.

It was the worst place I have ever stayed, there was nothing good about it at all.

This was a great spot;easy walk to beach and into town;clean ,spacious apartment;small pool very nice out front of the facility for a quick dip;about 10 min walk or so to main drag of resort and marina area;got to get fed at “the tin shed”-a local institution!

The bed was completely uncomfortable. Shower is mouldy. Every door was crumbling including vanity doors. The whole place needs to be renovated.

Trying to fit a king bed into a double sized room just doesn’t work. Very cramped. The bedroom fan worked on fast speed or off. It looked like the unit had been flooded at some stage as all joinery units and doors were swollen and blown out

Everything was a bit meagre & we felt as if the business was penny pinching at the expense of making us feel like welcome guests. The wifi was an unsecured network & so slow that we didn't use it. We were supplied with one toilet roll & 7 teabags which was a bit mean for 2 people for one week. Sure we could go & buy more supplies but most places we have stayed would have provided those basics. The mattress was bouncy so one person rolling over woke up the other. For the price, not cheap, we expected a better standard of accommodation. The towels smelt doggy when they were wet

Location was excellent to be able to walk to cafes, restaurants, port & beach. Also very quiet at night despite being located on main road into Port Douglas. It was lovely sitting on the deck in the mornings under the palm trees listening to the tropical birds & hearing the stone curlews at night. The shower was excellent
