Only suggestion for improvement would be the addition of black out curtains/blinds in the bedroom. This would make it easier for young ones to sleep during the day or adults to sleep in.

This property is very clean and new. All furniture and kitchenware are in great condition. The sofa bed in the living room is comfortable as well. Suitable for couple or small family. The horses in the backyard are a bonus.

Our stay at the ranch retreat was amazing despite being there during cyclone Jasper. Our stay was safe,secure, and peaceful. We spent our time watching the ever changing hills, and we were entertained by the horses' funny antics. The apartment was very comfortable with lovely modern furniture and a very comfortable bed. Harvey, the owner, was so lovely leaving us torches in case of power outages. Which thankfully we didn't need. He also checked in on us, making sure we were OK and seeing if we needed anything. I highly recommend staying here.

Just a little confusion on how the keyless entry locking mechanism works. The Manager was able to remedy the situation. The bathroom could maybe do with having a few pegs to hang clothes up near the doorless shower recess.

A lovely place for some quiet solitude just what we needed after 5 days on the road. Great amenities with plenty of room to put all our goods. Harvey the Owner/Manager was most helpful when needed.

Highly recommended. This place is amazing!!! The owners are soo nice, the apartment is beautiful and clean, the view is stunning, very close to the beach and the city, the beds were very comfortable. I will definitely come back.

Everything! A beautifully appointed self-contained complete mini "home". Ghostly quiet at night - and dark - perfect. Extremely comfortable king size bed. Stunning bathroom. Well fitted out kitchen with all you need for cooking. Silent ceiling fans efficiently cool throughout, although air con is in all rooms (but wasn’t required). Friendly hosts discretely live next door and immediately reply to messages.

Beautiful country scenery, comfortable modern retreat with all the necessary amenities to ensure a fully self contained stay. Fantastic kitchen and the views from the back sitting area are absolutely stunning. Nice and quiet with friendly hosts who were readily available should you need them. This is the perfect place for downtime between site seeing and activities or simply for a reset of the mind. Can't wait to stay again!

Our stay at Ranch Retreat was just what we needed. It's an absolutely stunning location. Close to everything you could possibly need without the noise of the city or loud, crowded, holiday resorts. The local shops are 2 mins away and the location provides a great launching pad for exploring the northern beaches of Cairns and beyond. The apartment itself is clean, modern, comfortable, and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. We cooked meals in the fully equipped kitchen and enjoyed sitting outside on the patio with the mountain backdrop, horse and native birds. Ranch Retreat is cleaner and quieter than a hotel. Check-in and check-out were super easy and communication was great before and during our stay. This is the place to stay if you want to explore Port Douglas, the Daintree, Kuranda and so on. Would suit a couple wanting a quiet getaway or a family. We were a family of adults visiting extended family in the area so it was great to be able to come home and cook a meal in between dining out at local restaurants. We also made use of the washing machine and drying rack. The internet was great. All four were able to use devices at the same time with no issues. I had to do a zoom for work at one stage and that worked perfectly too. Cannot speak highly enough of this place. Will definitely stay again next time we're in Cairns.
