Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomMy only suggestion would be to supply some complimentary bottled water because the area uses untreated bore water. There is a shop in Waratah Bay (expensive) and a petrol station in Fish Creek where you can buy some though, but would have been nice to have this supplied as the tap water isn't drinkable.
The chalet was spotless. There was a little pot of milk in the fridge to make a cuppa on arrival. The bed was very comfortable and the powerful shower was great. The owner was very friendly and there were free DVDs you could borrow too.

AustraliaNo heater in the rooms.
Fully equipped with everything you need! The cottage was quaint and the surroundings very tranquil. Though it was freezing (being winter), we got the fireplace going and it was very cosy. There were clean sheets and towels available. The kitchen was well-equipped and the cottage is very spacious for 3 adults.

SingaporeThe location of this place is a little far out from everywhere. It was a 20 min drive out to Fosters, and about 20 mins to Yanakie. Roads get dark early too, so drive carefully! We arrived a little late, so we had to hurry a fair bit in order to find dinner and get supplies before everything closed. Everything closed rather early too, during the winter. All in all nothing to get too worried about, just need to plan your time well if you don't want to get stuck with no food!
Scenery was beautiful. We saw plenty of stars the first night, milky way with the naked eye! Couple of amusing sheep solemnly munching every time we came in and out too. Loved that it was a quiet spot with birds greeting us in the morning. The apartment was well kitted out with everything we needed for a 2 night stay.

ChinaRating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) I had the pleasure of staying at the Prom Coast Holiday Lodge in Waratah Bay for one night from June 17th to June 18th, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. Arrival and Check-in Despite arriving quite late at around 9 PM, the check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. The staff had left clear instructions for late arrivals, which was very thoughtful and made me feel welcomed right away. Accommodation The lodge itself was impeccably clean and well-maintained. The attention to detail in the decor created a warm and inviting atmosphere. The room was spacious, with all the amenities one could need for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after a long day of travel. Facilities The lodge boasts excellent facilities. The fully equipped kitchen allowed for easy meal preparation, and the living area was perfect for relaxing. I also appreciated the complimentary Wi-Fi, which was reliable and fast, making it easy to stay connected. Surroundings The location is stunning, nestled in the serene environment of Waratah Bay. Waking up to the tranquil surroundings and the sound of nature was truly refreshing. Although I only stayed for one night, I could see how this place would be perfect for longer stays, offering a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. Overall Experience Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my stay at the Prom Coast Holiday Lodge. The combination of excellent service, comfortable accommodation, and beautiful surroundings made for an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this lodge to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Waratah Bay. Thank you, Prom Coast Holiday Lodge, for a wonderful stay. I will definitely be returning in the future!
