Overall the hotel is a bit dated, the pool facilities definitely need an upgrade but at least it was heated.

The views and location were great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast was pretty good.

Beds too close to cupboard and fridge. Could nit open fridge without hitting bed. Could not stand in front of mirror or easily access the wardrobe. Foyer tired looking.

- Some mould in bathroom - Toilet seat broken (but fixed very quickly) - Ocean view room had an ocean view only if on the balcony and facing right, it was more a surfers paradise strip view which wasn't bad but not really ocean view room in my opinion - Pancake machine broke during breakfast which was a little disappointing (staff were doing their best to fix it however didn't manage to while we were there)

The only minor downfall was the noise from the night-life. The doors provided around 90% of noise restriction but it still echoed through the bedroom. Other then that it was a perfect stay right in the heart of surfers paradise.

The beds and the pillows were so comfy, the kids and I loved staying here and would stay again. Staff were just amazing. Easy walking distance to Surfers and everything Gold Coast so parking the car and walking was the way to go.

We were told we had a refurbished room. Bath was very old. Big chips in the enamel and white paint used to cover it. Germs in it. The room next door was smoking dope. We were told we had an ocean facing room. Not on the 6th floor! We saw the pool which was noisey with kids and late people using it.

The heating in the room did not work. The lack of a dining restaurant for dinner was disappointing and the racket and rudeness of the tour groups was really not a good look for your hotel.

The breakfast was great with a lot of choice and great atmosphere. The meal served in the cafe was also very good

They struggled with electronic licence and credit card. Couldn't accept my CC from my phone wallet and were dubious about my govt issued drivers licence app as proof of ID. It's 2024 come on Novotel catch up!

The elevators are very slow. The food at breakfast was nice and had a good variety however the eggs, bacon, sausages etc were a bit cold unfortunately

Rooms were nice and comfortable, good beds. The hotel is great for group/family booking - there was 12 of us - and the property is in a very handy location, close to everything and good if you have young adults staying with you venturing out to enjoy the clubs etc as it is located with walking distance. Had a nice little cafe/bar area in the lobby.

The floor in my room is not very clean. I still can see dust and hair. The tap is not friendly for kids to be reached.

The location is really good, walking distance to the beach and fabulous food. My room is wide and has sufficient room for family stay. The staff is friendly, especially Michael who greeted me on my arrival and help me get my luggage to my room, introduced the surrounding attractions and other useful information.

Bathrooms could use attention is a bit old and rundown looking usable but for a Novotel you’d expect a little better.

Property location was great! The staff were superb Brooklyn the bartender was amazing always had a positive vibe and attitude made the stay so much more enjoyable need to keep her on and give her a pay rise!
