I never leave bad reviews. But. I stayed 8 days and there was wifi only one afternoon. When I asked the front desk I got a shrug and a 'maybe tomorrow?' There is construction outside, which is not the properties fault but there was dust coming in through the windows and covered my clothes. The room looked nothing like the photos and the elevator felt like a ride on the Tower of Terror. The location is great and maybe in a little while when the construction dies down and they get the place fixed up it could be good. Right now (may 2024) it is not.

1. The hair dryer in my bathroom didn't work, so I wish I had brought my own but packed with the expectation that a hair dryer would be available. 2. When making a coffee for myself using the instant sachets available, there was only one mug available, and I ended up stirring it with a fork. I can't remember if this is because there was no spoon available, or if the only spoon available was unclean. 3. "Kitchen" sink was dripping wet upon arrival with an unwashed/poorly washed spoon left in the sink - gave the impression that the kitchen/sink was either recently used prior to arrival, or was overlooked/not reset after the last guest had checked out. I was not affected by this as I ate out during my short stay and only used the kitchen facilities to make a coffee, but if it weren't for the price of the stay, I would have been really put off by this.

A great option for solo or business travelers looking for comfort on a budget. The location is superb. Has all the bare minimum essentials, and for the price I was very impressed with the room's bed, size, and facilities like TV, a desk for work remotely, air-conditioning/heating, and coffee. Bed is nicely made upon arrival. There's no housekeeping service during your stay which is no problem for me, but this may be preference for some. Unsure how to rate the staff in my review, as I only encountered one receptionist my entire stay which was during check in. They were adequate and helpful. I got my keycard handed to me and my room explained to me and check in was smooth. I don't think I saw any other staff or workers during my stay. Self checkout (key drop off) is made easy and marked clearly. Being able to access the hotel afterhours with keycard is made easy and instructions are marked clearly on the door and easy to find. I didn't see any mention of numbers to call in the event that you're locked out without a key afterhours. Luckily I was not affected by this, but this could leave someone very stuck in this kind of emergency. Despite the low price and old building, thankfully there is an elevator (albeit, a little old and rickety, but old elevators are a massively time consuming hassle to replace), so no need to worry about lugging your suitcases up any stairs if you're anywhere above the ground floor.

Not very clean, old curtains falling off the rail, bathroom was dark and dingy and the door had a massive hole in it as though someone had punched it… staff weren’t at reception frequently. elevator was very dodgy. Didn’t feel super safe so I checked out a day early.

The pictures are misleading with the real room. It’s an old building (which is not a big deal for me) but some parts of the ceiling of the room were coming out. There were 2 light bulbs in the bathroom and one was not working and the other one wasn’t bright enough. The extractor of the bathroom was very noisy. The quality of the mattress wasn’t great, I could feel the springs of it when I laid down. In general the quality for the cost of the room was very bad, I am not peaky at all but for 20 or 30 bucks extra you can find much better rooms and if you have a cat I would definitely consider going a little bit further from the city for a much better stay.

The location was great. Staff was okay, limited to fikking forms and receiving payment.

Dirty, broken shower. Water from shower dripping all the time. There are no cloth and cutting boards in the kitchen. Dirty, broken wardrobe. Broken fridge etc...not milk, enough coffee, tea . One teaspoon, one table knife, no big cut knife etc...

Jesus christ, I didn't think it'd be great, but I was not prepared. Dysfunctional levels of disorganisation resulting in having to chase getting a keycard repeatedly just so we could get back into our room. The bathroom ceiling was more black mould than plaster. There wasn't any toilet paper in the bathroom. Police coming in and out like it was a regular day for them to be there. Knocks on the door in the middle of the night? The mismanagement screams of deeper issues with the ownership here.

Literally the only good things were that the linen was fresh and it was cheap.

No Elevator, No Extraction fan in bathroom, no spoons, only a microwave, no kettle, no bin, no washing machine or dryer, mould smell, floorboards coming up, black mould in bathroom, ciggy butt brains smoking in the hallway, no toilet rolls provided, no cable for tv, dodgy lock on door child could kick it down.

Shower head broke off. Mould on ceiling above shower. Crack on floor outside bathroom. No kitchen appliances, just a sink and fridge. Noisy poorly functioning air con unit.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Linen and towels were clean. Hot running water. Comfortable bed.

Room not very clean, beds very uncomfortable, no bin, no crockery, no tea/coffee, half a roll of toilet paper supplied and very minimal supply of soap and shampoo. Strong smell of mould in hallway and Room. Blown lights in stairwell. Cockroaches running around in room. Cracked floorboards and the TV was running on an indoor antenna that had poor reception.

Maintenance is poor. Floor cracked, kettle not working.no utensils. The room is also small and no table.

Room card took several attempts before opening the door - every time. Place was not cleaned well, places not vacuumed, cockroaches. Window could not close and there was a lot of street noise from very early - demolition rubble being removed and constant truck and loading the trucks noise from 6 am. street noise through the night could not be closed off. While there was a kitchen and some plates and cutlery, there was no cleaning liquid or tea towel, so wondered when the last time was that the plates were cleaned properly. I washed everything before using it.
