The staff and owner are really nice and sweet! It is a very social hostel and there are group activities in the evening which makes it easy to get to know people. Furthermore, the hostel is very tidy and neat:)

Lots of flies but they cant really do anything about that. The kitchen could have more stoves - it gets busy at rush hour.

I booked a bed in a 8-bed dormitory, with fan. The dormitory is large enough, so you do not feel packed at all. The bed is a bunk bed, large enough, with a fair enough good mattress. For this dorm (and the entire hostel), as a male, you have access to 3 showers, 3 toilets, 4 sinks. All were clean. You also have access to a fully equipped kitchen, without oven. The common space is nice. The WiFi is good. 500m away from Greyhound bus stop. 600m away from FoodWorks supermarket. 600m away from main beach. 2.5km away from IGA supermarket. 30km away from Premier Motor Service bus stop (Fingerboard Roadhouse Gas Station), private shuttle service can be arranged for 80aud if 1 person, 60aud/person otherwise. The staff/volunteers (Ellen, Freddie, Maya, Desiree) is nice and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place for a short or a long stay.

Staff was not very knowledgeable. Couldn’t give lots of information and when I asked something about my booking and payment it was just told: talk to the owner.

Very nice buildings and location. It’s very clean (kitchen cleaning takes long;) ). Beds were comfy but wobbly. We got delicious fresh tuna for dinner. Common area also very spacious.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Very clean and a lot of cozy common areas! And when the bus got cancelled because of bushfires they managed to provide a bed for everyone.

Only stayed day here as had bus to catch in evening and needed place to leave luggage and hang out for day. Staff were really friendly and have me advice on walking trails, we had burgers in evening and they take your bags to the bus in time for greyhound.

Great location, softboards for rent in good condition, owner doing a great job at getting people in the hostel together for social opportunities and events plus constantly making improvements at the hostel. Good kitchen facilities and great place to meet other travellers.

No proper parking (even though you can park freely on the street)...and didn't stay longer to evaluate daily life there. Also my 6 female room/dorm was half full and I didn't understand why I was put on the top bed bunk ?...while two others bottom one were empty, especially my bed bunk was free. I mean it's just one night but after a whole day driving from Coffs Harbour...you might need to have your surroundings ready to jump in straight and never get down your bed again. I'm not complaining, have lived in hostel over 3 years doing farmwork, just want to understand the logic behind certain things 😅

Honestly just stayed for a really short night. Arrived around 11PM and left around 6:30 AM. Really clean hostel, good location sort of intimate and private in a quiet area. Didn't spend much time exploring but have save the spit for next time.

wifi didn’t work (not a big issue tho as I wasn’t there to be on my phone/laptop all the time). The only thing that made me rate 7/10 is that you would expect the staff to be in reception during their (not so wide) opening time. I was waiting for 30 min (around 8pm) for the reception staff. I know it’s a chill place but when you’re paying for a service you should get it. or at least put a sign on saying “you can find me here…”, makes it much easier ;) also the fact that they give you the sheets in reception isn’t ideal
