Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaThe main bed was very hard and the TV didn't work properly. They were having trouble with a few TVs that night and they did offer to refund me and help me to find alternative accommodation but I didn't think it was worth the trouble.
Breakfast was included but we didn't bother having it. Good communication. Lovely old pub renovated to provide ensuite rooms. The balcony was lovely to sit on although it needed a bit of cleaning.

Breakfast was an included Continental style ie. a variety of cereals & bread for toasting plus tea, coffee & fruit juice - plenty for this price! And just a stones throw from local supermarket if you're feeling in need of something more exotic! Too easy!

AustraliaThe only small disappointment was that we were having a few drinks on the balcony on a Sunday night around 9pm, watching the NRL grand final as a group, as we had a few different rooms booked, with a public holiday the next day. Not yelling but having a normal conversation and evidently got a number of noise complaints from the room next door and the manager had to come and ask us to be quiet. She was absolutely lovely about it and agreed we were not being noisy but just put a dampener on the night and we felt as though we couldn’t enjoy the balcony which was frustrating as none of the rooms have any seating other than the bed. The only chairs and tables are on the balcony. Not the fault of the motel at all but be aware everyone is in quite close quarters and some guests are very entitled and should maybe fork out more for the privilege of silent solitude and not stay in a converted pub on the Main Street.
Awesome location, clean, all staff were very nice and welcoming, very comfy big bed, gorgeous big communal balcony, free breakfast was nice touch and good variety. Have great memories there when the place was a pub so was lovely to see in its new form.
