Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

The breakfast was really good. The coffee excellent. The dining room staff exceptional. We used trams mostly to get to places. The marathon on Sunday really impinged on our transport that day.

AustraliaThe pillows were great to sit up and watch TV, but not very comfortable to sleep on. Too high. There was online check in which was quick, however you still have to go by reception to pick up your key and return it, as well as validate your parking ticket. There was 1 elevator so it took a while getting back to you. Not a biggie though, unless you are in a hurry.
Location was fantastic to Capitol Theatre and restaurants. Couldn't be closer! Bed was comfortable. The room was very small, but it had everything we needed for a short stay. Staff were friendly, but we didn't interact much with them due to online check-in..

AustraliaThe only negative was the free to air channels on the tv. We could not get to this feature and needed to stream movies via our phones. We only watched tv between dinners and theatre times.
The room was small, but filled with what was needed for our stay. Comfortable beds, coffee pod machine, bar fridge, safe and a nice ensuite area.

AustraliaSmalls things like the need for flat trays to make coffee instead of using the a wooden tabletop. That will protect from spills. Had to sit on the floor to use the safe! Your chai tea is too weak.
Suitable room for one person...Nice bathroom, close to conference venue so able to walk there. Close to Central train station.

Location of this hotel was terrific, a very short walk from light rail and a short light rail trip to Central (train) Station. Staff were friendly, helpful and professional.

AustraliaThere was no hanging space apart from 3 large knobs on the wall & 3 coat hangers. We were only having 1 night there, so it didn't bother us too much, but anyone staying longer might find the lack of hanging space inconvenient. Minor things: No tissues or shower cap supplied.
The location was perfect for us. Just a short walk from Central train station, next door to the Capitol Theatre where we were seeing a show & close to lots of interesting eating places. There's also a light rail stop almost at the front door. The staff were all friendly & very helpful on a day when their lift was being serviced.

AustraliaNo cupboards in short-stay rooms was very disappointing and inconvenient. Replacement of coffee pods/ milk did not occur until it was requested on the ipad means of communicating. It took 2 days to discover this. The coffee pod machine was a total failure, it leaked and produced what looked like dirty water.
Good location, close to public transport, Central Station and UTS. Pleasant enough rooms. Most impressive was reception staff - so helpful.
