Paul was exceptionally helpful, making our stay much more pleasant. He consistently went the extra mile to assist us with any requests. The facilities were fantastic, conveniently located near Ned's Beach and just a 10-minute walk to town. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

Perfect place for myself, my partner and our 1 year old. We loved it! Just a tiny cycle from Ned’s beach & town. Lots of beautiful walks at our door step. Wifi was great. Pick ups and drop offs when needed which was super helpful. Kitchen facilities were what we needed & a bbq was so handy!

Only area where I could suggest some improvement would be internet reception - while it was generally OK, there were times when the connection failed.

Location was pretty good - bit of a walk up a hill from the shops and eating places, but Lord Howe Island is all about walking. Paul was very helpful and drove us to restaurants etc.

Wifi a bit slow most times

Really close to Ned's beach, which is my favourite beach on the island, they also offered courtesy bus services, which was really helpful to travel around the island without bikes, also excellent service from staff

Kitchen equipment was very basic. Could have done with a few more utensils. But when we asked for more washing up equipment it was quickly supplied. I’m not sure that the staff have very comfortable accomodation themselves.

Lovely relaxed environment. Very clean and quiet. Enough space in 2 bedroom cottage, comfortable beds and lovely bathroom. Private sunny verandah with clear bbq. Food scraps bin and recycling bin all very thoughtful. Lovely gardens and trees, lovely old buildings and atmosphere. Paul, caretaker and manager, went above and beyond . He was always very attentive, organised and so helpful, giving us lifts to evening meals in the village and assisting in any way to make our stay comfortable and safe. He was delightful. Thank you Paul.

Beachcomber really should restart their restaurant at least for breakfast. It is a decent walk to town - maybe 10-15 min all downhill one way and uphill the return so we rode bicycles but had to walk them up the hill on the return as it is a steep hill.

A very nice apartment style hotel. Our room 1 was superior to some others as it was on the end of the building and thus had external windows in every one of the 4 rooms. Internal apartments would lack a window in every room. If you plan to cook these are well equipped. There is no coffee machine and just instant coffee but we went into town for coffee.

Loved it all, except the pretend rudeness of the staff who never gave us our meals at the bowling club. except the chef who cooked great food and drove us home. We arrived at 6.30pm we had a booking. There was no table no problem, but our meal arrived at 8.45 pm after 6.30pm order. All locals were served, including dessert and went home. We felt unwanted. It was awful except the chef. I will always tell all my friends to never go to the bowling club it is clearly the message for tourists.

The service by Paul was exceptional. We had a ball and Paul made it fantastic. Paul is a gem to this business.

The kitchen facilities were basic as we wanted to self cater for most evenings. Not enough cutlery and plates and accessories. Salt and pepper and cooking oil would be very handy too. A really useful modification to the room would be an overhead fan as it heated up a lot during the day. The pedestal fan provided was just adequate. An overhead fan particularly at night would have been ideal

    Relaxed environment. Friendly staff.

Air con, but the whole island has no aircon so realistically i can see any room for improvement.

Pauly met us at the airport and gave us a short tour of the island - pointing out nice restaurants, food and some history about the island. Very very happy with how flexible the accommodation was - we had to extend for 2 more nights and it was no problem at all. we paid right before departure with no worries at all. The owner Garry was great to talk to and i am eager to stay at beachcomber again

Being peak holiday time, the pricing of everything on the island is very high. The only bikes to hire are from Wilsons, and unfortunately the bikes are not particularly well maintained and in very average condition.

The location is beautiful and very relaxing. The accommodation was good but could be better with use of the kitchen communal area ie. pool table, table tennis. Paul who picked us up from the plane and helped with dinner bookings was great.
