The kitchen was disgusting and there was never enough cutlery or cooking equipment for everyone. The bathrooms were quite dirty as well.

This hostel is very lively and they organize quite a lot of diverse and fun activities. The place is very big and offers a lot of different spots to chill at.

Most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. No padding just sleeping on springs.

Beautiful place and location surrounded by nature.

The room was dirty and too small for 6 people plus all their luggage, the kitchen and eating area was perpetually dirty - usually a product of the guests more than the staff.

This place is what you imagine a hostel should be - a mix of gap year students and seasoned travellers. Plenty of socialising spaces indoor and out, great evening atmosphere.

I had a private room with my partner and for the money that we paid (similar prices to a hotel room) I would recommend to renew the mattresses. The springs of the mattress were literally poking in my stomach and back and it hurt. Lying in the bunk bed and looking up we were defintely looking at a lot of collected dust too. I know it is a hostel but when paying these prices I think these are points of consideration.

Obviously a very nice Byron Bay experience. It looks pretty cool and its nice that there is a swimmingpool and the lizzards chilling around. The coffee is great too!

No aircon in the room, wifi didn’t work in the room, kitchen was dirty, bit of a walk to the main centre of Byron Bay

Good sized room, lots of social activities in the day and evenings, lots of areas to chill, had its own cafe which was handy.

Bit out of the way compared to other hostels in Byron, so a bit of a walk into town. Unfortunately it rained a lot while I was there, my dorm was a teepee so incredibly damp and quite a bit of mold. Not their fault that the weather was bad but ridiculously expensive considering it is effectively camping. Teepe accommodation should definitely be cheaper than dorms, and people warned of the dampness if weather is bad Also a very large hostel with lots of people camping out back, so was some problems with stealing.

Awesome vibe, lots of people all super friendly and many social events on to choose from. Staff were incredible, super friendly and helpful and always seemed to be plenty of them around to help. Kitchen was cleaned regularly and facilities kept mostly tidy. Lovely nature-based hostel as not in town centre, surrounded by trees

The kitchen is one of the worst that I ever found in 4 years travelling! That have volunteering but maybe not enough for the size of the hostel and the amount of people that eat here. Find a solution guys, more volunteering, more hours, more kitchen check but seriously you have to fix this!

I like the vibes, the activities and all that arts bring to the people but…

Others don’t clean up after themselves. Tee pees can get cold and slight damp after rain comes. Wi-Fi not great and many charge points don’t work in the communal areas.

Great vibe. Unique place, offering a place to meet so many travellers of all ages. Will on reception was so helpful. Good size pool, volleyball, pool tables, cafe, self cook, good laundry facilities and Talent night were some of the things we saw. Watched out for the camp pets!

My "room" which was a tent, was not what I expected. There was no door or lockers. I knew there would be no airconditioning, but the fans provided weren't working properly (they were dirty) until my last day there.

It was close enough to the city center, large kitchen, clean bathrooms and a lot if activities.

Not enough cutlery and glasses in the kitchen

I booked a bed in a 6-bed dormitory, with fan. The dormitory is large enough, so you do not feel packed at all. The bed is a bunk bed, large enough, with a fair enough good mattress. For this dorm, as a male, you have access to pleinty of sanitories throughout the hostel (8 showers, 7 toilets, 4 urinals, 8 sinks). All were clean. You also have access to a fully equipped kitchen, without oven, from ??am to 10pm. The common space is nice. Beach volley pitch, swimming pool. The WiFi is poor in the dorm, better in the common area. 900m away from Greyhound/ Premier Motor Service bus stop. 1.5km away from Woolworths supermarket. 1.5km away from city center / main beach. I would definitely recommend this place for a short or a long stay.

The hostel is in serious need of cleaning, especially the communal areas, lounge, bathrooms, terraces and kitchen. This would justify the skyrocketing prices of late. The rooms seem clean enough. The addition of sofas/beanbags (in the garden or on the ground floor terrace) and chairs (upstairs on the terrace next to the kitchen) would not go amiss either, as there is a lack of places to rest or simply to be able to eat at the table without looking for a chair to sit on. A blanket for guests sleeping in the teepees would be great, as the nights can be cold (beware, during the day, the teepees turn into ovens).

One of the few hostels in the area where you really feel like you're in a hostel, with all the social interaction that goes with it! The jam evenings are my favourite - what a great atmosphere, what great people to meet, what a great time. I love the hostel café, and the staff are so friendly! There are enough showers and toilets for the number of guests. The beds are comfortable. Nature is very present in the hostel, making it a unique and inspiring place.

    - The room wasn’t clean. Cups weren’t clean inside, very dusty lamps and walls, and the floor needed a vacuum and mop. - Cost of the room was quite pricey for what we got. - Guests playing instruments past midnight was a bit tiresome!

    - Very welcoming staff at the front desk. - 15 min walk to the beach.

The accommodation itself was okay and I can imagine that it is a great place for backpackers to make friends and meet. However, it needs a little bit of TLC!

Perfect for back packers and people travelling. We booked the accommodation as somewhere to crash for an evening. We had a long drive from Sydney and were carrying on the following day to Surfers paradise. The location was perfect, it takes around 10 minutes to walk to the Main Street and we loved Byron Bay.
