We were truly delighted by the friendly staff, with a special thanks to Daisy in the restaurant, who was incredibly kind and welcoming. She went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, even sharing some fantastic local tips that made our trip even better. The breakfast was excellent, the location of the hotel was ideal, and the bed was wonderfully comfortable. Thanks to Daisy and the team, we felt right at home!

One thing to note - our room had no power outlets directly next to the bed which nowadays could be an inconvenience to some.

Hotel is well located, with private parking which was a great bonus. Rooms are spacious and very clean and well maintained despite being just slightly outdated. Breakfast was fine and had a good selection. Restaurant food was delicious and their varied selection in kids menu was much much appreciated by our little ones.

The Wachauerhof is in a good position for the town and had all the facilities we needed for a stop over on our travels, there was parking the breakfast was good with Muisli and plenty of choice for a continental breakfast (no fry up) which suited us fine. The restaurant was nice and the gulash with dumplings was great, there is a bar for guests and outside customers although we did'nt use it the bar seemed really nice and traditional, we would definately stay again when in the area.

Room was HOT!

Breakfast was excellent and dinner in the adjoining restaurant was very good (we had authentic Austian Gulosh with venison). The beds were comfortable with good linens. Our only complaint was the lack of a fan in the room. There is no Air Conditioning and room was VERY hot. A mini fridge would have been nice also.

An “honest” 3-star hotel, suitable for a transit through Melk, excellently located to the city center (where we enjoyed quietness, beautiful buildings and a great dinner

The rooms were very warm. There was a ventilator in the room, but without AC, it was still uncomfortable to sleep in August. The bed mattress was quite soft and therefore not very comfortable for me.

The room did not have AC , only a table fan , I would recommend to install ceiling fan or better AC units. It was hot day and not very comfortable

The 0lace is very close to the city centre Nd Melk Abby . The hotel has good parking lot that is free of charge

The breakfast was very good The hotel was centrally located and very comfortable. The rump steak I had for dinner was outstanding.

Although we enjoyed our stay at the Hotel some things I wasn’t thrilled about was,there was no ac in the room so at night the room got really hot. Another thing that I wasn’t very fond with was the style of the hotel. The hotel looks like an old casino rather then a family hotel.

What I really liked about our stay at the hotel was the outdoor seating, if you go in the early evening before the mosquitoes come out it is really enjoying. You could just grab a book or your phone get a drink and just enjoy. Another thing I really enjoyed was that we had a nice view of the melk abbey right outside our window.
