Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe parquet could be repaired in few places, but it didnt bother me. The appartment is probably not suitable for elderly people or people with baby child since one floor you need to climb the stairs. For me it was not a problem.
Simply a very good feeling to stay there. Very big apartment, sometime it was difficult to find lost socks :) . There is everything what you need for your stay. Stable WiFi. It is rather close to the subway station. It is also close to the shops, supermarkt.

United StatesThe only think that bothered me a bit was, that aside of the bedroom with very comfortable queen bed, the only other bed to sleep in was one of those inflatable beds. Which is ok, but it was never pointed out in the ad (there is a photo showing it but I figured it's a regular mattress. I also had the impression that the sectional sofa in the living room might have a pull out bed that would have been a bit more comfortable. Also, the inflatable bed that was already set up was broken, so by the time we got there, air was half way out, and I had to keep adding the air in during the first night, but the air would never remain in long enough, so the first night was a bit of a pain. But the next day I noticed an additional inflatable bed in the closet, and once I texted the owner, he promptly explained that the old bed was prepared by mistake and that he can come and switch them anytime we are home. Buy I told him I will give it a try and switch beds myself. Fortunately, the new bed performed well. But again, the owner offered to come and switch the beds immediately so he was happy to resolve it. I would still book this apartment next time I am in Vienna, but in our particular case, the game room would have been much more convenient if it was designed as a regular bedroom with a queen bed with a mattress ;-) But anyhow, I think this is still a great place to stay and I would definitely come back and recommend it to my friends.
The apartment is pretty spacious and comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay there. It has large living room, good sized bedroom, and a big game room with pool table that we didn't use much since we were sightseeing most of the time, but it was a nice and fun addition to the apartment. Apartment had pretty much everything we needed, Wi-Fi, blow dryer, iron with ironing board, washing machine, kitchen well equipped, bathroom towels, sheets, etc. The location is pretty good as well, in a peaceful neighborhood close to the city center (with a very nice vegan ice-cream shop down the street ;-) DM, Lidl and Billa are also a few blocks away if you need any groceries or toiletries you couldn't pack in your suitcases, and also a few cute bars around the corner. There is a bus station just around the corner that will take you to the subway, and also tram station a few blocks away that will take you closer to city center. Also, the train station that will take you straight to the airport is just a few blocks away, which was a great deal if you are traveling by plane, and their trans are awesome. Better than spending money on the taxi. Also, you can conveniently walk to the city center in like 20-30 mins if you don't feel like taking buses or trams. We got the 17e weekly unlimited pass that includes all these ways of transportation, and used it pretty much all the time, since you can get anywhere in Vienna using their public transport. Communication with the owner was good too, they would reply to anything we asked about in minutes, and were very friendly. Check in was super convenient for us too, since our flight was 4 hours late and we got there at 2am, and since it was self-check in and nobody had to wait for us to give us keys, we didn't have any time limitation to when we are going to check in. So that's an important thing to consider for anyone who is not 100% sure when they will actually reach Vienna.

SerbiaThe apartment is quite loud. The nice wooden - parquet floors are old, squeaky and in need of sanding and refinishing. The pool table and building, especially the movement of upstairs neighbours are also loud, and the room doors are not soundproof at all. The apartment is in need of deep professional cleaning, not the kitchen and bathroom type of everyday cleaning that's completely fine. But the carpet washing, window cleaning, furniture scrubbing, couch deep vacuuming, electronic devices and cables proper cleaning, and not just dusting.
The apartment is spacious. It has all the appliances for a comfortable trip and multiple entertainment items - a pool table, multiple smart TVs, Netflix, darts, board games, and DVDs. It's within walking distance of Rennweg station and Rochusgasse station, which made us choose this apartment; it's easy to organize your trip to and from the airport, to the Wien Mitte or the Gasometer for events. The box key system is easy to find and use, so our 4 am check out went smoothly without disturbing anyone. The communication with the property manager was quick, easy and helpful.
