Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyCheap accommodation for not such a cheap price. Looks like student housing. The floor was not clean (a lot of hair). Incomprehensible in-room sink and shower setup (but was alright). Sink almost did not drain.
Located very conveniently close to the metro.

IndiaI feel breakfast could have a better menu. Cost for this type of facilities is high.
Location of the hotel is quite good. We have the bus and train stations at walking distance. The rooms were compact but felt a little stuffy . Breakfast will cover the basic stuff but not a lavish treat. Same menu every day.

DenmarkAt arrival day not very clean (dust flying around). There's no place where you can sit comfortably. Little or no storage for guests staying multiple days.
Close to a metro station, spacious room, warm and strong shower. Environmental efforts to reduce plastics. Breakfast opens 06:30 for those who want to leave before it is too warm outside.

CanadaCard demagnetized very easily. Happened 3 times. Could do with a mini fridge to allow for cold water in the summer (not a huge deal though) Good otherwise
Was close to a lot and right near a subway terminal.

RomaniaNo lock on the WC door and almost transparent shower cabin in the middle of the room was a bit weird.
It was very close to Prater Wien and some other popular places, The pace was quiet and the bed was comfy enough for a good sleep.

United KingdomShower is located in the corner of the room, and toilet is more of a broom closet than a proper toilet meaning privacy is limited. Also, aircon being provided is nice but it really could do with being stronger.
While outside of the main city, hotel is positioned right by an underground station on the main line. The rooms are basic but comfortable, and do have air con. Breakfast is also available for an additional fee.

Good location, easy to get into the centre on public transport and also right by the Prater.

NetherlandsI was alone so this wasn't a problem for me, but because the shower isn't in a seperate bathroom you won't have any privacy if you're sharing the room.
Very good and well connected location with the metro nearby. The room was basic but very clean and very much worth the price. For a single person staying a few nights on a budget, while still wanting some privacy, I'd highly recommend this place. Also grateful for the AC system as I was staying during very hot weather.

TurkeyThe shower violates the privacy. If you put a shower into the middle of the room, you must use black glass. I understand that this is a budget hotel but a fridge is not a fancy thing in this century.
The location of the hotel is central. We can access public transportation easily. The room is clean.

United KingdomThe room was really basic, no wardrobes, no furniture, only the bed and a small TV on the wall. There was space in the room, it was just not filled up. There was no bathroom walls, the washbasin with the tap was inside the room and the shower cubicle as well (not fully see-trough). I didn't asked for breakfast because I saw on the Booking.com pictures what is included and it was very poor. In the morning I have seen with my own eyes and the choice is really very little (It was better to go to the Billa and buy breakfast).
The hotel is in a busy area, 10 minutes walk from the Prater and from Praterstern train, metro and tram station. A nice and cheap Billa is 5 minutes walk to take some breakfast. The room was silent (our room looked at the inner garden). It has every esential for an 1-2 days stay but nothing more. The aircon was working well, the free wifi was good enough to use Youtube. If you are price sensitive, that is a good place for a short stay.

SloveniaThe staff were lofty, especially the young girls at breakfast. The price is too high for the service they provide. Even when paying for parking, you only get EUR 1 discount.
The hotel's location is excellent, close to the Prater Amusement Park. Breakfast was diverse and the choice was good.
