Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesAdvertised as having a washer, dryer and TV but did not have either. I was hoping to wash some of my clothes mid trip but could not. Also it was a bit loud to sleep as you are directly on a busy road.

CroatiaI didn't like the automatic light in the hallway because it turns on when someone goes out of the bedroom, which at night meant that the light shines in your face for 5 minutes before it turns off (the bedroom door has a window on it). I would also appreciate a breakfast bowl and maybe some oil. The kitchen is equipped with virtually anything other than a standard porridge/snack bowl. Also, the heating was not on when we arrived so the first evening it was really cold. Once it heated up (the next day), it was very warm. It would be nice if the house were pre-heated and if we could regulate the temperature while there. I feel these are minor things that can easily be changed and wouldn't affect the general sense of being comfortable there.
I liked the app with which we could open and close the front door. I particularly enjoyed the sauna; it is a real gem. The beds were extremely comfortable, too! Everything was squeaky clean and in order, and it was very quiet, so you could get a good night's sleep.

Bernard the owner was very attentive to our needs. We were having some technical issues with connecting our phones to his door locking device and he came right over. The place is absolutely charming, he was involved in all the details of remodeling an old farm house to a beautiful mountain home. The beautiful, clean sauna was a nice plus. Top notch.

BrazilThe house is close to the bussy road, so noisy location. There was no terace or any kind of chair with table outside on the back yard to enjoy the sun or morning caffee. And there was no TV.
We loved how the interior is made, traditional style, details are nice, old equipment was used to built things.
