Not really DAS Hintersee issue but there's really nothing else in this small town (which we knew). If you want nature, hiking, mtn biking, this is a mecca and lovely. If you're looking for eating options and/or activity variety, look elsewhere. Only other thing is while most of the staff were SUPER kind and nice, a few of them seemed annoyed that Americans were staying at this mostly, Austrian/German resort. This is purely perception/vibe but something both me and my wife perceived. Lastly, not a complaint but be aware, we took teens into the spa area. Be forewarned its VERY european. We're not prudish but I could see others not being aware of the open/coed nudity.

Very nice facilities for pretty remote locale. Rooms nicely decorated. Restaurant open with good food (best breakfast we had in 18 days in Europe). Most staff were very friendly. Location next to hiking/biking trails great.

Hot tub wasn’t hot enough for us and it does not have jets. That is the only complaint.

A new, clean and comfortable place. We had a 2 bedroom chalet with our own sauna and hot tub. The unit has a nice kitchen although we didn’t cook.

There is a church right across the street and unfortunately, our windows were facing it directly, so when the bell started to ring every morning at 6 am, then 7 am and then every 15 minutes, we had a very early wake up call. So if you're not a morning person, I highly recommend bringing some earplugs.

Beautiful accommodation in beautiful nature. The room was very spacious, beds really comfy, the breakfast was delicious and the free access to the spa area with saunas and whirlpool was a wonderful bonus which I had forgotten about, so it was a really nice surprise. About half an hour from Salzburg by car, so ideal if you want to explore the city but also the countryside. Would definitely recommend!

The spa was a little too crowded. We were several people without a place to sit. The check out was a bit too early (10:00am), just one hour more would have made a big difference.

The room had beautiful views, with a nice terrace and an infrared area to relax. The bed was very comfortable. The food in the restaurant was also nice and the breakfast abundant.

The staff and facilities were great. The chalet was absolutely wonderful for our family. Attention detail and the highest comfort was attained by DAS Hintersee. Breakfast was plentiful and a pleasure to dine on the terrace. Dinner from the menu card was exceptional. We will return… a wonderful getaway, without all the tourists around the big lakes in the area.

The SPA was closing quite early, could have been open a bit longer. It has been opened until 9pm, but the second day it was already closed at 7pm.

Room was extraordinary good. Very modern with an infrared cabin. Bathroom was open and connected with the bedroom. Breakfast buffet was decent and got a variety of food. We got half-board, so dinner was included.

Great location within short walking distance of the Vintgar Gorge and in a lovely surroundings. Modern facilities and very large guest rooms, with on-site gated parking.

Great location. Great facilities. Friendly staff. Excellent restaurant. Extremely varied breakfast buffet and evening salad buffet. Fabulous wellness facilities and very clean. Will definitely return again for a weekend.

This is a rare gem. Outstanding in every respect. Remote and therefore quiet and near great hiking and biking. Exceptional SPA and restaurant. Rental bikes and helpful staff. The next visit will be our third.

the location is very far from Tourist places. because I wanted to visit different tourist places in Austria. There is no center and shop in the village . value of money .

We booked the hotel because they had newly renovated rooms and a nice Wellness & SPA. The wellness & Spa was on a very high level, but the room we got was not renovated and wasn’t with a view to the mountains as promised on booking.com

Breakfast was average considering the high standard the hotel is pretending to be. Room nothing special, view from balcony horrible. Internet not working due to failure.
