Location was Perfect. The room i got, had the best view. It had everything that we needed. It was 20 mins walk from train station. We had one of the best stay in Salzburg.

Excellent location - easy to get to everything

No coffee machine in room and charged us 12 euros when I went to restaurant to get 2 coffees! Only hotel in all our travels coffee was not free! The roof bar was reason we picked this hotel and it was closed for a private party. When we asked for 2 wine glasses to instead have wine in our room, the front desk gave us one champagne and one wine glass. Curt and indifferent staff.

Amazing location in the middle of Salzburg. Everything is close and easy to reach. Rooms are big and you can have nice views of the old town.

Second time we stayed there - unfortunately only one night each - but Hotel Stein is a really great hotel in perfect location. We will keep coming back as the rooms are a great size and well appointed, super clean, and the staff have been amazing on both occasions. We can highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting easy access to the old town - it's literally across the bridge.

Lots of noise on the Saturday night until 4 am, not the hotels fault but could annoy some if they have a room at front of hotel, we expect it in cities, they do supply ear plugs if you need them.

Made very welcome, took our bags until check in time of 2 pm, which was appreciated so we could begin exploring the beautiful city of Salzburg. Staff friendly and efficient, roof top bar gives a fantastic view, had a cheese platter with our drinks and it was delicious.

The hotel is excellent and the hospitality was great! We arrived to check in and were greeted by the staff with warm towels and a glass of wine, and we were informed that we were getting an upgrade compared to the room we booked, it's always fun to receive such news! The hotel is in a winning location, close to everything important in the city. The staff was very nice throughout the stay.

The receptionist booked me into a room administratively but gave me cards for a different room. I only found out when I asked about breakfast. At that time, a gentlemen receptionist figured out what happened, apologized profusely and even walked with me to my room to make sure all was well. He was fabulous! She was not.

Lovely clean hotel. Situated centrally between old and new town so many places of interest are well within walking distance. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. We were given a room upgrade for a birthday which made our very enjoyable holiday even better. We would definately use this hotel again.

The restaurant ambience was poor. It is a modern, noisy and relatively expensive place which doesn’t encourage you to spend time there. If you want to experience more of a local atmosphere, there are numerous options in the area.

Room faced the rear of hotel towards an alleyway which backed on to a few shoos and bar. The noise from the bar was noticeable on the Saturday night, but not on the other nights. Location of hotel made up for this though and to be expected in City centre

The bed was comfy, the room perfect. Location so central for sightseeing and breakfast lovely. The real stars are the staff - they were so kind and helpful, going above and beyond to make the stay special. Thank you Emily, all the reception, concierge and restaurant teams for a wonderful stay.
