The only minor thing was the ventilation in the bathroom, which did not seem to be powerful enough. As a result, the humidity in the room was quite high after taking a shower. But that was easily solvable by opening the terrace doors. Again, this was a very small issue, otherwise everything was perfect.

Good location. The staff was super nice. They even satisfied our request to rent bikes even though it was still pre-season! Comfortable beds, clean room. Very nice terrace and garden with hens :) No issues with parking.

There wasn’t shampoo in the room, only Duschgel. Room can have at least kettle and a small fridge if you’d like to stay longer.

The location was quite good, very close to bus station. The place is in the middle of mountains and has an amazing view. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good enough if you don’t expect a lot of varieties.

A firmer mattress on the bed would have been a bonus. Everything else was super.

Brilliant reception from Hubert who told us about the local area, what we can do, specific hikes, where to eat, bus timetable etc. Room was very comfortable, with extra space like sofa and large balcony. Large modern bathroom with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was everything we needed before a full days' snow shoe hiking. Very close to the train station but there is no disturbing noise from the trains. Obertraun itself is small, which is great because it is a lot quieter than the nearby Hallstatt, but also there is really only one restaurant and buses in and out only come once an hour. Supermarket closed on the weekends. For longer than a few nights stay, I would recommend having a car. We would absolutely stay here again.

We really enjoyed the friendliness of our hosts as well as the amazing breakfast they served. It was conveniently located a short walk from both the bus stop and train station. I would definitely recommend staying here for a quieter location while visiting the area!

We had a wonderful couple of days here. Hosts are warm and welcoming and didn't think twice about going the extra mile to help us with early breakfasts and a couple other requests. Thank you so much again for your hospitality. For fellow hikers out there, this property is ideally located at the base of a few interesting hikes in the area (bike routes as well). Also ideally located for non-hikers who are in the area solely to visit Hallstatt (10 min by local bus a few steps from property). Also easily accessible by bus from here is Gosausee and Hinterer Gosausee. Needless to say based on the property's review score, the room and facilities were immaculate, we could not find fault with anything at all. Highly recommended.

Hubert and his wife are very lovely hosts, the apartment is very clean and modern, bed is cozy and comfortable. Location is very accessible , Parking space is available directly at the door, area is quiet and near the hiking sites. I would have stayed longer if I could! But I'll definitely come back! Heidi and Hubert were friendly and gracious hosts that made us feel at home. Our room was spacious, clean and nicely furnished. Breakfast was excellent. Obertraun is a beautiful village that is peaceful and relaxing without the crowds of tourists at Halstatt. We stayed for 3 days and loved every minute of it.

Lovely place, my partner and I enjoyed it very much and would definitely come back. The house owners are lovely, and they made a delicious (!!!) breakfast for us and other guests. The view from the balcony is outstanding, the yard is charming as well. The only regret is that we stayed only for one night!

Absolutely nothing! It was perfect!

This is the most charming and perfect place to stay. We had a beautiful experience and the hosts were absolutely fantastic. We felt like they were family and they took such good care of us. They cooked us a wonderful homemade breakfast in the morning and we were able to sit out on the terrace right next to a little stream and the view was breathtaking. They had bikes to rent right at their place and we took the bikes and rode over to Hallstatt which was just a beautiful ride. We loved absolutely everything about this place.
